NVIDIA 4000 Series

I had to get GPU ASAP a bit over a week ago (couldn't wait even a day anymore) and went for 3080Ti for £800, brand new from UK store. Works great and worth the price, considering current situation on the market. I can still return it IF 4090 for MSRP emerges somewhere, but it doesn't look like it.
That’s a good price. I was considering the 4090 as I game at 4K 144hz but the 3090 can do a fine job if you turn a few things from ultra to high.

Got my zotak, ram a few benchies on my superim x before and after.

F1 2022 max everything 101fps before up to 161

Cyberpunk 74 before up to 112 with my settings, this is at 3440x1440.

Nice wee boost !

No coil whine and it’s ridiculously quiet too, much more so than my superim x

This one!

Zotac AMP Extreme was the only other card I was considering, apart from the Asus Strix which I ended up with. Just can't believe they'd put the serial number sticker in that colour right there in the worst place (unless your vertically mounting).

People have had RMA's refused for removing this type of sticker, so stayed well clear. Love how Zotac removed it in their own youtube video unveiling though!

My sticker is black can’t notice it

Luckily I have no need of 300fps, and maybe I can force cyberpunk down to a ungimped 2021 version if I ever get round to playing it as steam lets you download specific builds.

My interest is in the new nvenc and having more VRAM. But for those I think I can wait until end of 4000 series gen.

yea 2k for a 4090 is madness... bet they will be 1400 in a month

I've seen Suprim X as low as 1850 but most places charging 2100, the margins must be huge
Not sure we’ll see prices drop below the MSRP any time soon, depends if nVidia will be sneaky and release a 4090Ti for the same price as the 4090 to sting all the early adopters.

Well chuffed got my inno 3d x3 ichill today managed to get it plugged in & run furmark peak power draw at the socket is 660w whilst running that and other benchmarks, the GPU is about 460w max. This is with a12700k and 32gb ram. Haven't even looked to undervolt yet to reduce this.

Do you guys think I need to upgrade my tx750m PSU which is barely 2 years old (got it for 3080 launch which I never got lol) or if it works, it works?

Also pulled together this chart for size voltage and boost clock speeds for the various cards if it helps anyone.
