NVIDIA 4000 Series

Anyone else in the same position that they have the card but don’t have 4 pcie slots on their PSU? Eek
3 gives 100% power, the extra one is just if you're overclocking the power limit and seems like a gimmick when the card is voltage limited anyway.

you don;t get a limited card with 3 of them, the reviewsI looked at arte claiming the Suprim X is 2500mhhz odd boost clock but mine is doing 2800+ on 3x PCIE

Knowing NVIDIA and AIBs I suspect just now they get any margins at all and to MSRP they actually had to come on 0 or add to it. It was similar with 3k series, to the point that now with bit lower prices they already are losing money apparently. The only real winner in 3k and 4k series is NVIDIA - they indeed have huge margins.
This is no doubt why EVGA wanted out as while it's ok now that the cards have just released and are selling for msrp or above but give it 6 months and those willing to pay £1700+'have dried up nvidia will be able to slash the price of the FE to £1200 or so and still make a good profit yet AIBs will be well into loss making territory.

That would be very much against NVIDIA's current plans to rise prices gen on gen, not lower them - they said it publicly (CEO himself) few times now. Their plan is to do everything they can to not let prices of 3k and 4k drop any further and to keep up mining-times margins. Shareholders demanded that, apparently.

That's good to hear as mine is arriving tomorrow and happy to hear its got no stickers stopping you taking it apart as i plan to get an EK block for it once they are announced / released ... until then will run it as is on air :D
No point in waiting for EK. Bykski has one already:
Measured everything based on TPU AMP AIRO pictures, it's the same PCB

From my experience Bykski has better temps than EK. EK is trash-tier in WC.

I'm sure if wasn't in their plans to cut 3000 prices especially the 3090ti so soon after launch but the consumer will dictate prices and I see very little appetite for £2000 Gpus outside of the day one serial upgraders.

I got the Zotac 4090 non OC version (cheapest) and got some great scores on Port Royal with a bit of OC without trying to too hard.

I got 26836 which has put me in the top 100 (for now LOL) So for those that are worried it might not be upto scratch it's an absolute beast. The difference is night and day at 4K 160 compared to my 3080Ti on some games. Very impressed 3DMark Score
