They'll just get their distributors to etch a 7 over the 8 with a knife and knock off a few hundred, problems solved.Everyone knows the real reason the 4080 12gb was cancelled is because 12gb isn't enough vram

And you wonder why EVGA got out of working with Nvidia............
Thanks for the link Sparx. Card ordered and shippedI’ve just had the email from NVIDIA to buy a 4090 FE. Like thanks it’s such a privilege you’re letting me buy your horrendously overpriced GPU.
Not even interested in buying the crazy priced 4090, I’m happy with my 3080![]()
I meant it went down from 100% power and then up as the power increasedThe reason his performance goes up is because he's overclocking the card, he's doing an undervolt and overclock
Think the cards are voltage locked, not sure if this also means it can’t be changed with a custom BIOS flashed.Anyone know how to increase the voltage on the 4090? The voltage slider is greyed out on latest MSI Afterburner.

Scummy behaviour, once you tarnish your brand name its very hard to rebuild. Nvidia is slowly doing this to themselves. And you wonder why EVGA got out of working with Nvidia............
Lucky manThanks for the link Sparx. Card ordered and shipped![]()
What card you got ? i noticed on Jay2cents video that his FE had the voltage bar greyed out in msi afterburner but have also seen a few aib being able to adjust it from 1.05v to 1.1v but still leaves the card voltage limitedAnyone know how to increase the voltage on the 4090? Anyone who got the 3080 for msrp at release got a bargain, Even now I'd still take a 4080 10g that was only 10-15% off a 4090 performance for £650 rather than the 40% slower 16gb version for £1300.the early 3080 customers who got stitched up with the low vram![]()
They made that mistake last gen , they wont be making it again no matter how much it upsets their customer baseI'd still take a 4080 10g that was only 10-15% off a 4090 performance for £650
Probably not now it's been cancelled. Are we likely to see cards like the 4060/4060ti anytime soon?
