wow 14 out of how many cards soldThe reddit thread is up to 14 confirmed cases now.
That's 14 out of how many burned connectors? Oh, we don't have that number either, do we?wow 14 out of how many cards sold
not even going to be 1 in ten thousand effected, probably user error not fully inserting the connector then
some of them didn;t even post on reddit other people posted it for them from other social media,14 is just the number of people who bothered to post on reddit. It's unliklely to be anywhere near the total number of burned connectors in the wild.
Have some more copium.some of them didn;t even post on reddit other people posted it for them from other social media,
but lets pretend gaming enthusiasts don't use the internet to artificially inflate the numbers.
4090 connectors all melt the new urban legend
don't worry dood, gamersnexus has been trying to make one melt for 3 days now, maybe soon they will manage itHave some more copium.
This is a real problem.

It shouldn’t be that difficult to get it to melt. Mine cracked after light gaming over 10 days and would melt if I tried to use it further.don't worry dood, gamersnexus has been trying to make one melt for 3 days now, maybe soon they will manage it
Meanwhile people keep telling us they all melt, all you have to do is turn it on
funny how no one managed to do it yet on purpose... maybe the connectors work better than people want to believe

Err recall the connector, anyone who thinks they have a dodgy connector should rma it asap, that's just common sense, otherwise what is the fuss about? That isn't how these sort of things work, whether it be the recall of a car to a burnt 4090 power connector, it is the possibility of it happening that is as big an issue as it happening.
Have you even told the vendor yet?It shouldn’t be that difficult to get it to melt. Mine cracked after light gaming over 10 days and would melt if I tried to use it further.
that should be interesting, since the burn marks are only visible on exposed ends, i believe igor's solder vs crimp theory is on thin icedon't worry dood, gamersnexus has been trying to make one melt for 3 days now, maybe soon they will manage it

Solder should be a lot better than crimping, the guy hasn't got a clue.that should be interesting, since the burn marks are only visible on exposed ends, i believe igor's solder vs crimp theory is on thin ice
because if solder was an issue there should have been visible melting of cables as well
What are they smoking... lmao.
Watched this and really, 8K seems pointless for gaming. Productivity on such a big TV (let's face it, no monitor is 8K currently right?) - But for gaming? Much rather have that locked @ 4K 120fps experience. That's 4k equiv for an ultrawide that is, not a 16:9 monitor. I'll never own a non ultrawide OLED monitor ever again.
If you are saying that the way it is soldered in this particular adapter is better than crimping, you are the one with no clue.Solder should be a lot better than crimping, the guy hasn't got a clue.
