Even at £1249 it's still about £600 more than it should be.
At least.

I would argue that the 4090 is the only card that is not a rip off. Yeah it's expensive, but you get a crapton of performance for the money and it is truly bleeding edge. For 4k/VR gamers its a worthwhile purchase.True but what % of that is scalpers.
The hard reality is no matter what the price of the 4090 or 4080 they are a rip off born out of the need for Nvidia to replace lost mining profits, which was another two finger salute to PC gamers.
Hence why I always try and get the cheapest AIB if it's decent enough otherwise you're just chucking £ away for hardly any difference whatsoever other than different warranty terms on different cards.Absolutely agreed, the AIB's need to wake up and realise no matter how many fans, VRM's, and dylithium crystals you add to a 4080, a 4090 will still crush and decimate it.
It's still a rip off especially the AIB prices but less of a rip off than the 4080.I would argue that the 4090 is the only card that is not a rip off. Yeah it's expensive, but you get a crapton of performance for the money and it is truly bleeding edge. For 4k/VR gamers its a worthwhile purchase.
I agree even though it's still a rip off but and there's no progress when 2 years down the line prices are going up with performance but this time around the alternative 80 class is not an 80 class so doesn't make any sense to buy a 4080 at all this time around.I would argue that the 4090 is the only card that is not a rip off. Yeah it's expensive, but you get a crapton of performance for the money and it is truly bleeding edge. For 4k/VR gamers its a worthwhile purchase.
It's the 3090ti not 40 series
Nice. I don't think you can buy a bad AIB 4090 card, they are all built to a minimum spec with way beefier cooling than they need.Hence why I always try and get the cheapest AIB if it's decent enough otherwise you're just chucking £ away for hardly any difference whatsoever other than different warranty terms on different cards.
First time I've owned an inno3d GPU this time around and truth be told it's built far more solid and very quiet compared to the Zotac 3080 Trinity I had.
The only thing I would have liked this time around was a dual bios switch for a performance fan curve but it's no biggie it can be done in other software, Would have been nice though considering it wasn't the cheapest Inno but still cheap compared to some that rip you off.
And I have to say so far the inno is great, Temps both on core and mem are great! And it's quiet.
Not as many places seem to stock innos for some reason but if this is fine in the next couple of years I would buy Inno again no questions asked.

Agreed, I've not been able to research a GPU for the one I'd prefer for the last probably 7 or 8 years or so, Just pick anything up not through fomo just because the way the market is for these items these days, Either more demand or manufacturers deliberately holding them back to try and profit as much as possible.I've said it before and I'll say it again. What on earth happened to GPUs just simply being in stock since release date? It was like that for decades and now since the 20 series it's impossible to just search for the particular card you want and just buy it. Whether that be an FE or AIB card. I just don't get it. All the reasons that are put forward apart from keeping stock low to try and make maximum profit fits. Even then why not just bring them into as much stock as possible to see as many as possible!
Got real excited for a second lol. Not to be this time... Soon... Soon...Telegram trigger happy.
If they don't have the stock to meet demand then they are releasing them too early. Again, just don't get itAgreed, I've not been able to research a GPU for the one I'd prefer for the last probably 7 or 8 years or so, Just pick anything up not through fomo just because the way the market is for these items these days, Either more demand or manufacturers deliberately holding them back to try and profit as much as possible.
Exactly, It doesn't matter how many mosfets or capacitors they put on they all have to meet spec if they crash send it back and job done but that rarely happens these days it's a non issue.Nice. I don't think you can buy a bad AIB 4090 card, they are all built to a minimum spec with way beefier cooling than they need.
Not sure what is happening, but they have been out of stock for a while on my end at least 2hrs. I initially could add to basket at a time when others were saying they are sold out (curiosity). However, I only went as far as adding to basket and didn't go through with the check out. I now wonder if they were really sold out even when I could add to basket.Still in stock and can be added to basket. Guessing will be there tomorrow too, unless they pull them to make it look like they finally sold out.
That's a possibility also Nvidia always trying to beat AMD out of the gate for sales first and haven't produced enough to meet demand although rumours were Nvidia had a crap ton of these already manufactured they are just drop feeding them Jensen has already admitted that to his shareholders. If they don't have the stock to meet demand then they are releasing them too early. Again, just don't get it
Stop buying Nvidia, simples. But not for you guys, all you lot do is complain, complain and complain, buy yet you still give the scummiest company your money. See a shrink, the lot of you.
