NVIDIA 4000 Series

didn't really wanna start a new thread so, is there any concensus on what's the "best" 4090 yet? not interested in water cooling, just want high end vrm design, low fan noise and hopefully no coil whine (although that's probably pot luck) will be keeping the card for 4 years or so

been looking at msi suprim x, aorus master or maybe even one of the pny cards, asus strix is too expensive and FE is too hard to buy

will be going in a fractal torrent with seasonic 850w titanium, sorry if it's been asked a 1000 times already

I have the Aorus Master. The card is great. The software that controls the RGB and display is crap.

No audible coil whine on mine and excellent cooling. It also looks better in person than any of the pictures I have seen in the marketing. The color scheme they use to show off the RGB makes it look like a cheap toy IMO. And whatever they used for the screen demo reminds me of the Borden milk cow.

I also like the method they use for the anti-sag bracket. (Mounting to motherboard standoffs and behind the card) it's a small detail, but a nice touch.

I refused my FE delivery today.
So if you're after one you might be in luck in the next few days.

Edited that for you

Mine arrived this morning, turns out my RM850x doesn't have 3 x PCI-E, was planning to use it until Sunday where I'd swap to a 1000w. 1000w PSU arriving later today as I realise the RM1000x is too big for my H5 Flow.

I see the 4080FE is still sitting in stock. Its like the GPU equivalent of herpes, no one really wants it but a few will end up getting it.
To be fair if the price was better value I'll likely pick up a 4080 over a 4090, it's a little more balanced with my 5950x etc, doubt I'm alone here.... the reason it's still sitting there is because it's too expensive and the 4090 is only a few hundred more and gives much better performance..... I've been waiting on rdna3 release to see if we'll get some price movement etc, something I would think many pc gamers are also doing.

Same. Watching for the official benchmarks of the 7900xtx. A leak today suggests it’s faster than a 4080 (ignoring the blender leak that also came out). Need to see the gaming benchmarks. I think Monday is when to expect them?

I may have paid £800 for one at the start but after this insult by Nvidia I'm going to be holding firm at £700.

According to Corsair manual RM850x should come with 3 PCIe cables each splitting into 2 connectors.
My RM850i definitely does.
