NVIDIA 4000 Series

I currently use a 3080 FE 10 GB. It meets most of my needs at 3400x1440. I was keen for some much higher framerates with ray tracing in newer titles though.
My advice is if you can afford the purchase wait until it turns up and give it a try , it will blow the 3080 away performance wise and as long as you are not cpu limited will be over a 100% uplift in native performance over your 3080 .... at your resolution it will smash all games with raytracing or not :)

It doesn't count unless you check out though.

Yeah I know but odds are heavily in your favour once you have it in basket, this is coming from experience buying few 30 series FE during the peak

So having log in auto remembered/ card details saved also helps :)

The fact you can get one in your basket means you are halfway there.... some will try desperately to even get to that stage .
If you don't try you won't feel disappointed and therefore won't have overwhelming FOMO syndrome. Give it a few months and you'll be able to buy these without hassle.

The fact you get one in your basket means you can get some enjoyment from denying someone else the chance to potentially get one in their basket, who then may not even be lucky enough to successfully checkout.

but for those who actually want the card it can and will be disappointing to be meet with a Sold Out sign while someone one just holds it in their basket for the sake of science with no intention of even trying to purchase it at which point it goes back in stock for a split second before being picked up by one of the people desperate to get the 1st lot  I have my 4090 FE which i luckily secured on the 2nd drop we had but can see how others get ****** off by whats go on :)

The brits seem conditioned now to react to the telegram ding like the Eloi did the Morlocks siren.

Well done to all those that managed to get one in the mad minutes of availability.

It felt strange when I bagged one the other month. You feel like a winner, yet also nervous about what you've just bought. But then it arrives! And bloody el the Founders Edition is a wicked gadget, such a quality design with stunning performance to back it up. So definitely no regrets here at all.

4080 is available for £1099 in the UK today. £100 under the reduced to £1199 MSRP (after the £/$ hit 1.2) be interesting to see what the prices are this time next week!

didn't really wanna start a new thread so, is there any concensus on what's the "best" 4090 yet? not interested in water cooling, just want high end vrm design, low fan noise and hopefully no coil whine (although that's probably pot luck) will be keeping the card for 4 years or so

been looking at msi suprim x, aorus master or maybe even one of the pny cards, asus strix is too expensive and FE is too hard to buy

will be going in a fractal torrent with seasonic 850w titanium, sorry if it's been asked a 1000 times already
