NVIDIA 5000 SERIES - ***NO COMPETITOR HINTING***

More queue shenanigans at one branch of MC in Tustin, California. This guy records a video of the queue as he drives along it. Click the link for the video.

As retarded as it is to queue up for a GPU (especially when there is no stock), it does make me smile to see people put a shrimp on the barbie. Love to see it. Next up they will go full LeMans spec and bridge 3 tents, a sofa, a TV, a fridge and a coffee table. Can't wait for the 60 series launch.

Techradar seem to think it's the best thing since sliced bread:

I’ve seen a few places saying they were getting double digit percentage gains from overclocking. The 5090 and 4080 only gained single digit percentages from the same reviewers.

Feel for ya. Stil have 3080 10gb. Skipped 4000 series due to silly pricing, 2 years wasted...6000 prob 2 years away...
This is also me, I have a 3080 10gb and was hoping to jump on the 5080. The reviews have made it disappointing. Will await the reviews of the 5070ti and see what it's like. As much as the jump from the 3080 to 5080 will be big, I was hoping it was going to be around 4090 performance.

Their numbers make no sense, the 5080 there is getting the same avg fps as the 5090??? And the 4090 beats the 5090??? Their pros/cons says that the 4080 Super is the better value...
Something is seriously wrong. If you look at all their numbers, in every slide the 5080 and 5090 have the same fps and the 4090 wins. Either their tests are broken or the reviewer is lying about testing it.

So will the 5070ti match the 4080 super do you think?

Has Nvidia designed the 5070 to push people to the 5070ti and the 5080 to push people to the 5090??

Nvidia have pushed me to buy a Geforce 256.

No, it will be ~10% slower. It can’t be too close to the 5080 considering the $250 price difference. So expect another 10% - 15% faster than the previous gen super.

The 5080 being 10% faster than a 4080 Super has set the trend for the 5070Ti and 5070.

If Zen 5 was called zen 5%, how can we shoehorn '10%' into the RTX 50 series? RTX 10% series doesn't quite roll off the tongue.

On the plus side the reviews have been so universally negative it might make getting one at launch slightly easier. Especially as the card basically has zero appeal to anyone who already owns an RTX 4000 series card.
