NVIDIA 5000 SERIES - ***NO COMPETITOR HINTING***

Got a Palit 5090 Gamerock and Heatkiller water block on pre order. The water block isn't ready until 15/03, hopefully get the 5090 around then. I haven't flashed a card in a while, but as the Gamerock is 575 max, anyone know if it will bbe easy enough to flash to a 600w oc bios?

Price gouging by retailers on what little stock there is...check.

Websites crashing or unable to connect seconds after sales commence...check.

EBay listings appearing within seconds of stock going on sale, for even higher price gouging...check.

Thousands of unsuccessful and disgruntled consumers...check.


This isn't just any GPU launch, this is an Nvidia GPU launch.

But im buying for two years of the benefits more than anything (silent running. little-no coil whine etc). Im a little unsure how well the fe will do this time around with been so focused on small form factor.

FE seems pretty lousy in terms of fan noise and coil whine. Aside from aesthetics and size, the FE's only advantage is its price.

I'd rather have an "ugly" MSI or Gigabyte base model for the same price. Cooling and performance take priority over aesthetics for me.

I tried to get a 5090 FE but part of me was regretting having to part with my super cool and quiet Gigabyte 4090 OC.

I never saw an ETA. Mine just says "awaiting picking". I was there like the first few seconds of the pre order button so who knows. TBH just glad I don't have to keep checking websites.

I feel better I'm "only" paying £100 over a gaming trio. The trio was MRSP last gen.
