NVIDIA 5000 SERIES - ***NO COMPETITOR HINTING***

When was the last nVidia flagship model readily available throughout its lifetime?

Pretty sure we have faced shortages in the 2,3,4 & 5 series now

I don't remember much in the way of shortages around the 2080Ti. The 1080Ti was pretty readily available. When that one launched, you could pre-order an FE from the Nvidia site weeks in advance and they just shipped it on launch day. Happy days...

Now i want a 4k per eye headset in the next 12-18 months and i know for sure a 5090 will struggle. best wait for 6090... the 5080 with OC may just replace my 3090 for now though. almost 4090 performance for £1000 i can stomach
Its not quite, in VR with the latest headsets the gpu needs to render 27.27 million pixels true 8k is 30m ish

I can't fathom the idea of spending an entire month's worth of the median UK salary on a GPU, some of you guys must be absolute ballers to be dropping that sort of cash on a gaming component :p

This and some of them even have the cheek to tell others it’s essentially a pointless upgrade

I honestly think some people just must have the best otherwise they can’t settle.

I think a 5080ti would be good tbh. more like a 4090 performance for less money hopefully. looking at J2C OC video of the 5080 its very close to a stock 4090

There are plenty of fun things in life that cost this much. A GPU is merely one of them.

But Palit seemed to be getting stock earlier than the other cards. :/ it only changed to April after quite a while. others were May right off the bat.
It'll just be getting pushed back as more order. The Palit is no longer available to pre order now.

I just saved up for a long time, I put £60 a month away for like 2 years.
