NVIDIA 5000 SERIES - ***NO COMPETITOR HINTING***

This one seems genuine and has 24H shipping.

Ive seen a few posts about people having FE models, in hand already, in the UK. I thought this launch event thing was supposed to be AIB cards only, and the FE was strictly through Nvidia uk website only and they fulfilled orders? IF they did indeed sell them in store then cant they get in trouble for doing so? Probably nvidia wont care, but seems shady to me to do it. I was one of many who tried to bag an FE and never even saw the buy button lol. Just a coming soon or out of stock. But ive seen a few on here grabbed one, which is good.

Edit - Lol just realised this is trolling and not a real 5080. But my comment still stands seeing other genuine 50 series posts. Im dumb i didnt spot the single cooler not dual cooler of the 50xx FE lol

thats their logic, i nrly pre ordered the 5090 msi watercooled but then i stopped myself
For me I went with the Suprim over the fe because;

- All reviews said very little coil whine.
- Quietest 5090 at 28db max.
- Coolest running 5090.
- Low idle Wattage compared to fe.
- Nice Design/RGB that will match my case.
- Will have the highest resell value, along with the fe and Strix.
- Neater power cable/management (not angled).

Frankly if you buy a 5080 on Ebay you deserve to be scalped, you really do, OCUK still has 5080s in stock and available for less than that with a full warranty it's just stupid.

Yet people will buy them, the fact they're still in stock clearly the demand is the 5090, I hope the scalpers get screwed on the 5080 like they did with some of the 4000 series cards.

Check on the official Nvidia twitter, this event sold FE cards and it seems didn't even stick to 1 per "household" nevermind saying the event didnt include FE cards

What happened to the greater demand than the 40x series? Lol I see there's still 5080s in stock at multiple retailers at gone 6pm.

That tells you all you need to know about this gen compared to last.

But don't worry I forsee another price increase for the 60x series of people are paying these stupid prices.

Its because the 5080 is not a great proposition. There has been huge demand for 5090s but little/no stock.

Looking at sold listings, people are actually buying these from scalpers for between £3500-4000. Can't get my head around people willing to pay £4k for something that someone else just bought for £2k (probably using a bot). Are some people that impatient/desperate?
They will probably claim they received a box of Waitrose groceries and put in a for a refund.

To be fair OCUK are scalping hard. This is probably the worst launch they have ever had in terms of communication, availability, price rises above competition.

What happened to the 5080 member incentive? At least tell us either way. When was it decided they wouldn't be selling 5090's if they didnt get enough quantity of a sku? Why did all the 5090's randomly go on pre-order 3 hours later (reacting to competition?), why were the 5080 availability staggered, and could they not see the downside to this?

I love OCUK and the forums, but this was an absolute shambles. Sorry.

I'm not surprised one bit I made that point over a week ago that some would be rotting on shelves which hasn't happened for the last few gens simply because the uplift is crap and the price increase is just stupid, Everybody from the top is scalping.

Oof the comments in that vid re: the 5080 Astral... he can hear the fan from another floor of his house :o

Edit: I do quite like the "everyman" style of OC3D TV - no pretentious twaddle or superiority complexes :)
