NVIDIA 5000 SERIES - ***NO COMPETITOR HINTING***

Check on the official Nvidia twitter, this event sold FE cards and it seems didn't even stick to 1 per "household" nevermind saying the event didnt include FE cards
Yeah ive seen those, and also if you look closely at the photo of the guy saying "Founders Edition secured", the boxes they are holding are those FE boxes, where you tear the slip thing around the outside edge, to reveal the actual box. Like in the launch videos. I dont live that far from bolton and could have gone, but didnt with them specifically saying FE cards arent included in the launch event.

Oof the comments in that vid re: the 5080 Astral... he can hear the fan from another floor of his house :o

Edit: I do quite like the "everyman" style of OC3D TV - no pretentious twaddle or superiority complexes :)

Same here, i've never watched him, it seams far more down to Earth, just some guy talking about the card not trying to sell you it.

Pretty good style, but that could also be because we're English, I have to watch all the Americans on 2x speed and their energy can get annoying as it's sometime over the top.

I’ve been trying to order a full system to be built and it’s made very difficult to say the least. I knew weeks ago what parts I wanted, and phoned up to hopefully get that part of the order trough in time for release. I was told to send a “web ticket” no response. Why can’t I just order the system over the phone? These web tickets take too long, now some parts that were in stock are out of stock.

I’m in no rush for the system, however I at least hoped I’d be able to get an order in.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's based on GB202 with a cut down bus.
Maybe that's why they went with such gap between 5090 and 5080. They might be having trouble making 5090 cores, so they will repurpose failed 5090 cores to 5080 super once they accumulate.

Would've liked to see the price of Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5090 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce WB. It seems none of the retailers got one in UK.

Frankly if you buy a 5080 on Ebay you deserve to be scalped, you really do, OCUK still has 5080s in stock and available for less than that with a full warranty it's just stupid.

Yet people will buy them, the fact they're still in stock clearly the demand is the 5090, I hope the scalpers get screwed on the 5080 like they did with some of the 4000 series cards.
I doubt there will be much demand for the 5090 once the ballers all have them.

The 5080 is just a dumb product which doesn't even match 2 year old performance, even 1k for this is questionable especially with just 16gb VRAM.

Loads of 5080 and 5090 on eBay now. All with silly buy it now prices or offer. So I wasted all their time and offered £1
Offer declined so offered £2 and so on

Such fun

You're only wasting your own time, there's options on ebay to only accept offers over a certain amount, so you're getting automated responses more than likely.

Ive seen it listed on non UK sites. Might be that they just are not interested in getting it into the UK.
If this is regarding the frostbite cards. Yep same, I don’t think they got any stock either so I’m just going to be patient.

As much as fitting my own waterblocks is fun and an adventure I’d be up for paying a minor premium over the normal aib markup for the convenience.

Though not the crazy £1000 gigabyte seem to have added to the 5080 waterforce.

A lot of head room for overclocking on the 5080. Sometime matching 4090 or 5/6% less.

Yeah I’d seen some reviewers saying they were getting 12% more performance from a simple overclock.

Not surprised as the thermals and power use seem to be in a really good place on most models.
