NVIDIA 5000 SERIES - ***NO COMPETITOR HINTING***

I've got the same ETA on my 5090 Suprim, from the same place. Could be a mistake, hopefully they know they have a big allocation due tomorrow. Hmm!
Same time frame I've been given for the Astral but I think this is a generic response to say the sale is done ... it said 2-12 weeks on the original order page and reading their faq says preorder will receive a queue position although I've not got one yet .. the FE they sold today have been dispatched so I know it's not coming tomorrow as got no email .

So my earlier comment about FE being sold in person at the other place launch event. Someone just replied on twitter to me this

"Apparently Nvidia were onsite and decided to let those queuing up to have them. Especially the 5090FE cards, which were thin on the ground already. Scalpers were not the issue this time round. Well spent a straight 4hours refreshing for a 5090, when there was nothing online."

If true Nvidia screwed us over twice lol. Hardly any stock online as most were sold at this event. Which by there own rules shouldn't happen as it's supposed to be strictly via their website and get fulfilled by said company.

Scalpers can't be queuing up for them now? LOL I bet over 50% there were there to scalp them if not way more and then you have people buying them at first for their use then decide to scalp them once home and sit there with a sealed box. We saw that with 30 and 40 series .. really I purchased it for my own use and decided to ebay it instead of sending it back for a refund because I will lose money on postage and at least someone gets some use from it, while they double the price on ebay for the item and the postage..

I have seen it all from retailers/customers AKA Scalpers and all part of the games Nvidia is playing and happy to see this going on as they can keep pricing the cards up all the time and match what scalpers are getting for them in time. All part of this game and never forget that.. It is all planned and the FOMO is part of it and the so called short supply on mass manufactured goods made in China/Asia at hubs for mass product manufacturing..

I'd have bought a 5090 FE online, at the standard price, from the comfort of my warm home, yes.

Cool, still doesn’t make much sense though saying you can’t understand why people would upgrade for the sake of 20fps but then you’d be doing the same, even though you’ve just said there are no games at the moment you need the extra performance in.

Reads like you’d just be buying one for the sake of it.

Not all of those queuing would be 4090 owners either so likely a much bigger upgrade for them.

You don't even have enough time to see reviews when it's released on the same day

Oh dear... what a fail... it's better (or at least quieter) with the 4th fan totally disabled (rather than reducing the RPM)? :o

Haha yeah imagine paying good amount over £2k and to improve it you have to disconnect the fan without much effecting thermals, maybe bios update can sort it

That’s a really bad way to treat your customers , I had been waiting for 3 weeks to get a 5090FE and now I feel like I was duped and that I never had a chance of getting one in the first place , as they never had that many and what they did have, they sold to people who queued.
