NVIDIA 5000 SERIES

He also said the tensor cores from Blackwell are better than the rest, so let's wait and see.

Sure why not, but you see the problem with that statement is that Nvidia made the mistake of publishing the tensor core performance of the new cards and the 4090 has better tensor performance than the 5070 and matches the 5070ti. So how is it that MFG 4x can run on a 5070 when it has less tensor performance than a 4090... and no doubt the 5060 is going to have even less tensor performance, probably less than a 4080.

It's funny. I used to be a console gamer (would always buy both the Xbox and PS), and slowly got more and more sick of 30fps games. It was so bad in some that i got headaches playing them. The 5900X + 3080 was my first dip into the PC gaming world, and now 9800X3D + 4090 + 4k 240hz. There is no going back.

I've got a 6950xt, and ran the Wukong benchmark last night. I'd forgotten what 30fps is like- not as smooth as I remembered, that's for sure!

I wished amd had an answer to the 5090

Well I'm out of the race fellas, was looking for a 5080 but managed to snap up a deal on a 4090 with almost 18 months warranty for £1250 that was too good to pass up on IMO.

I'll still keep an eye on the launch and reviews etc but that's one less worry and should tide me over next 3-4 years at 5120*1440p gaming.

Who really wants more fake frame generating, ridiculously high priced, 600 Watt GPU's though?

The real answer could be to not buy the 5090 and let Nvidia either drop it's price or make something worth that kind of money.

Why are you so hardcore against FG?

If the technology develops to a point where it is imperceptible compared to no FG are you saying you wouldn't use it?

Even with some flaws would you not use it to make an otherwise unplayable title playable on your hardware?

Reports the 5090 is like a screaming banshee for some AIB at a ridiculous 600 Watts. At 2000+ for the 5090, I would be taking a 4090 too.

It's taken away that voice in the back of my head that kept saying YOLO and potentially splashing out on a 5090 but that's a grand saved I'll put towards a holiday instead :D

I've mainly gamed on PC for nearly 15 years now I honestly don't mind gaming on console or PC for most part, major benefit for PC to me is older titles that are locked to 30FPS on PS5 Pro like RDR2 and Arkham games but newer titles I really don't mind so much for most part

I do find it funny sometimes the mental gymnastics some PC gamers will jump though too prove theres is the "master race experience"

I'm back again with a bizzare comment. I hope this is true for most AIB cards: 1) Everyone will see this power consumption is stupid, and 2) I won't buy one. :D
To be fair my 4090 Aorus Master once the fans kicked in holy **** it got loud, thankfully 90% of time it ran under 60c so fans never really kicked in much

They will let DLSS 4 run on 4000 series eventually I reckon. Just keeping it as an exclusive period to sell a couple of GPUs.

DLSS4 is coming to all the RTX cards, it’s the multi-frame-gen (MFG) that’s exclusive to the 50 series. But perhaps that’s what you meant.

Well, I just jumped on a used 4090 for £1250 (and still ended up netting £300 from selling my Strix last month).

I'm not paying £1000 more for ~35% more raster, and I'm not buying a card with only 16GB VRAM. Going to sit back and enjoy the show over the next few weeks, maybe get a 5080 ti when that comes. For lack of better options, 4090 is my goldilocks card right now.

Has it got an updated H++ power connector?

There’s no correct choice, just different preferences and appetites for risk, but re: the bit in bold this is enabled by being willing to go second hand.

If you compare 4090FE to 5090FE buying new and MSRP, it’s ~35%* raster for around ~25% more cost.

*It’s probably more like ~30 raster tbf.

Granted, one is available to you now, the other is not and might not be for some time.

Saw this on another forum

"I think I may have found leaked pricing for the AIB, 5070Ti, 5080 and 5090 in the UK.

If you go to the **** website and search for one of the above and scroll down to the price you can see the lowest price and you can move the slider to reveal or hide cards. Granted these could all just be placeholders.

5070Ti - £889.00 (ASUS Prime)
5080 - £1078.00 (MSI Ventus)
5090 - £2099.00 (Palit Gamerock)"
