NVIDIA 780 Ti Announced (18/10/13)

AMD didn't have an 8000 series gpu, it was just an OEM rebrand, they skipped a gen.
Wrt price, if the 780ti was £1200 and out performed a Titan, those loyal to Nvidia would still buy it!

Isn't that a contradiction, they either had no 8000 series or it was an OEM rebrand, it cannot be both.

Thinking about it with the Tahiti chip being in that aftormentioned OEM rebrand, that mens the 280x cards are in the same league as the Nvida G92's. A third time that chip has been used in different series cards. :D

I am surprised the police have never been round yours and kicking your door in Kaap. The electric company tip off the police for potential cannabis growers when electric usage is very high. The systems you have would be setting alarm bells off if they were all on at once :D

LOL. I was going to take a picture of our live readout for the AA thread you started, as there was a clear difference in spike from when I was using AA and when I wasn't. :D.

Greg, would you buy an R290X if it was cheaper than and if it clearly outperformed anything Nvidia?

I am still waiting for the specs of the 290X to come out and see bench results/price. I have just bought a 1440P monitor and now regretting it, so tempted to use the DSR rules and grab a 290X when I see what it is capable of. I am in a 50/50 and the monitor hasn't given me what I was hoping for, so a new GPU is a great possibility.

No reason I can't run a dual boot system as well and I have the ability to switch between X16 lanes on my mobo, so I can have the best of both worlds so to speak.

Very very tempted.

NVIDIA has announced the GeForce GTX 780 Ti….the fastest graphics card they’ve ever produced.
Today in Montreal, NVIDIA announced they will be releasing the GTX 780 Ti in mid-November (it will be a hard launch).
Waits in MM to pickup a couple of titans for £300ea after the r290x & GTX 780ti been released....:p

Greg how can you regret moving from 1080p to 1440p? Get your eyes tested man! :D

Maybe Matt but I had an eye test in May and flew it. 1440P isn't what I was expecting and tearing can do one. I don't want to use V-Sync because I am slow enough as it is and I do notice input lag....

For me, 120Hz has the advantage :(

Maybe you be better off having a dual monitor setup

A 1440p monitor for your web browing & any other PC work and a 120hz/144hz monitor just for your gaming

I would hesitate a guess that this time next month we will still not know what either card performs like ;)

Give over Dave.

Nice ninja edit.

I'm with Greg on the monitor situation. I think my 1440p monitor lasted a day or two before i went mad and the 120hz came back in it's place!! :D

Given that one to my brother and bought another for extra screen space when i finally get my desk back :) The colours are amazing when compared to rubbish panels on the 120hz screens just a shame about everything else :p

Maybe I am being harsh on 1440P and will give it a couple more days before deciding. It is the tearing I don't like and V-Sync just adds input lag, so that trade off isn't happening for me.

Try placing this in your Battlefield 3 folder and see if it removes the tearing and minimises the input lag. Tested and working here on my 7950's. :)

Before you try this, start the game up, disable vsync, save and quit. Then place this file in the BF3.exe folder and try again. If you still have bad input lag after this, turn AA off to x0.

EDIT
