NVIDIA 780 Ti Announced (18/10/13)

And the funny part is they will beat the R9 290X and GTX 780ti quite easily.

Just keep an eye on your electricity bill if you are the one paying.:D

I am surprised the police have never been round yours and kicking your door in Kaap. The electric company tip off the police for potential cannabis growers when electric usage is very high. The systems you have would be setting alarm bells off if they were all on at once :D

I don't think cannabis growers need to have all the windows open on a freezing cold night.:D

The GTX 780ti is targeted at the R9 290X which only has 4gb of vram, why would NVidia even consider using any more than 6gb.

What are these journalists on.:D
They are basing it the K6000 which does come with 12GB. I suspect the 780Ti will be heavy based on the K6000 and technically could support up to 12GB. In reality it will come with 6 or 4.5 or maybe even 3 if they are scrimping to match an AMD price point. 4.5 GB works well for 4K whilst beating the 290X for the spec sheet comparisons.

I suspect with the quality of some journos they saw 3 cards in SLI with 4GB each running the surround 4K and just added the Vram up...

The only thing the GTX 780ti will have in common with the K6000 is the chip.

Having said that there is no way the GTX 780 will come with a full fat GK110 chip due to the expense, the GTX 780ti is aimed at the GTX 780 price point.

Nvidia will price too high like always, Nvidia fans will still buy it though whatever the cost because they treat everything Nvidia releases like Gollum's "precious".

AMD gpu's will win this generation like last generation with lower prices and free games and probably more performance, but Nvidia fans can't see it through green tinted spectacles.

Just to put the cat among the pigeons

NVidia are launching the GTX 780ti in response to the R9 290X

We are all assuming that it is going to be faster then the R9 290X, what happens if it is not faster at all ?

Nvidia fans are brand loyal and would spout anything they could in it's favour, such as power efficiency or fan design :p

You sound angry Dave :D

Lol

AMD will win what this generation? They havent had anything to compete with the gk110 chip for nearly 9 months whilst Nvidia have made a killing selling a single gpu graphics card for £800!
