NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Those already exist, they’re called ANPR cameras, Plod use them all the time. ;)

16GB VRAM to design a “man cave”? In what?! What are you doing, a full ******* VR 8K interactive walkaround with global illumination? Particles effects? Ray marching?!

Sounds to me you wanna learn to improve your workflow cuz a 3090 ain’t gonna solve your problems lol. What if you decide to add a cupboard your cave and 24GB isn’t enough?

SLI? :D
ANPR does not use Dashcams. it they use Police Camera. i'm talking about User submitted videos. so anyone can get their footage verified & actioned

the man cave was the joke part.. the rest of my workflow AI/Maths/ Rendering will love more than 11GB my 1080TI is maxed right now.

The question is why would you sell the non-of version of all your cores meet the OC binning criteria? Especially when every card is effectively pre-sold.
Yes, whilst I see were your coming from.
You basically saying non-oc orders will never be fulfilled as every 3090 core meets oc requirements

Your also saying non-oc orders don't matter to them.
They should at least make 1 non oc card for every 50 oc cards.

So far 0 have been made zero.. and they have received 100+ odd strix oc

I'm not saying they'll never be made, once demand decreases you'll see chips that end up in the non-OC SKU that would have met the OC bin, there is only so many people willing to pay more for the OC bin. At the end of the day it makes sense for a business to sell as many of the higher priced SKU's as possible to maximise returns. They are a business at the end of the day. It's rubbish if your sat in the non-OC pre-order queue but its also the reality of how capitalism works and should be expected when they can't meet demand. That said, I doubt you'll get much more out of a Strix compared to base version of the card or the FE, certainly nothing like how much extra you have to pay for it but that is another discussion.

It's not like its the PC market where this only happens. For example when Tesla launched the Model 3 starting at '$35k', the only car you could actually buy for the best part of a year cost nearly $50k and they sold every one they built. Those wanting the cheap one had to wait and now they don't even sell the '$35k' model because they don't need to.

MSI submits GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and GeForce RTX 3080 20GB to EEC

https://videocardz.com/newz/msi-submits-geforce-rtx-3060-ti-and-geforce-rtx-3080-20gb-to-eec

Guess RTX 3080 20GB is not cancelled and also there will be RTX 3060 Ti 12GB and RTX 3060 Ti 6GB models.

I will have to wait until first week of December to find out the price of RTX 3080 20GB and wait until January 2021 for RTX 3080 Ti 20GB price.

I think RTX 3080 Ti 20GB probably will be around £300 cheaper than RTX 3090 24GB.

That chart really highlights how odd the 6800 price is. Almost the full cost of a 6800XT but you lose a lot of perf. Just weird.

I really think the 3060Ti is too close to the 3070 for comfort (within 10%), especially when overclocked (within 5%). If I had recently bought a 3070, especially for scalped prices, then I would be seriously annoyed. It even has the same VRAM.

The only card that is a clear jump ahead is the RTX3080, which is in turn only a small amount behind the 3090.

The AMD's get absolutely crushed in RT performance in general, especially with NVDLSS. If AMDLSS isn't released soon then even the 6900XT is going to look bad vs lower Ampere cards when RT is enabled.

I really wanted to get a 3070 FE and almost snipped one on eBay.

If the 3060ti and me coming from a 1070 what are people's thoughts on trying for one of them ?

I presume there will be a FE version?

3070 is still the Price/Perf king.

The 3060 Ti, 3070 and 3080 are all effectively the same price to performance. The performance is scaling linearly with price (the line is straight). Only the 3090 is the outlier here, offering little more for a big bump in price.

I think its fairly obvious where the next nvidia cards are going to slot in. The 3050 Ti or whatever the next lower card is called, will slot in neatly at $299 and 2070 super performance, keeping the line straight. The 3070 Ti will go halfway between the 3070 and 3080 at $600.

Its less obvious where the 6700XT is going to fit in.
