NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Yes I have read them, hence why I couldn't deduce how you'd got up to 50% from the rumours that we've all read.

Just ballpark figures to cover all bases and nothing more. The 3080 10GB is rumoured to be replaced by a cheaper priced model which could in turn lead to lower 3080Ti pricing later down the line. At this point it's all guesstimates.

I reckon a RRP of £999 to compete with the RX 6900XT. And I'd be very tempted.

Good point about the 6900XT . £999 will be for an FE which if to go by card availability will unfortunately be a price attainable by only the lucky few F5'ers. So, if you couldn't get an FE, what would you pay up to for an AIB card if it was available to you?

Just preordered a 3060 Ti 8GB (Asus Dual fan) for £335 (non-EU)... if all else fails and that arrives first before the 3080 I ordered then then I will just keep and enjoy it and re-sell it if I manage to bag anything faster like a 3080Ti. At that price I'm pretty sure it won't lose much value on resale.

Preordered? Any ETA from where you bought that Ti from? Could be an indication of when the other Ti's are coming...

Nope, no ETA yet... 'guessing' 2-4 weeks at best. It's such a joke that I have cash to burn and yet can't buy anything. I have never known anything like the current situation in all my years and at the next release I will just pre-order on the day of release (I can now thankfully order without paying first) and forget about it until it arrives.

I been looking for a concept 2 Rower. £860 they are direct. £1500 on auction site from scalpers. Everything's being scalped.

That 3070 for more than a 3080FE......yeah, wouldn't have sat right with me either.

Yeah man I feel you, it sucks. I will never consider scalpers as I think that to knowingly buy something that is scalped is just fuelling the behaviour. There are other things in life to be doing while I wait.

At least I 'should' have my 5900x by end of January. :D

I was tempted to drop down to a 3070 that I can see available right now, but it's £600 and really not worth it from a 1080Ti.

Still holding out for a 3080 under £750. It's going to be a long wait.

The Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC 10G runs so hot, that turns the whole case hot, too. I have never seen so much heat and noise from a graphics card.
It's running like a vacuum cleaner...

Must be a dodgy card, send it back or repast it. I can barely hear my FE on stock over case fans. Only way that it gets loud like you say is when I overclock. But I don’t do that, I undervolt then overclock which runs cooler and quieter than stock and keeps stock performance saving 60-70w :D
