NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

If these are coming in September, they'll have a months start on AMD, as those are rumoured to be October now.

They wont be "coming" in September they might be released then but they wont be available to buy for ages. Could end up being by time stock is available both AMD and Nvidia release at same time.

Looking back for instance 2080ti pre-orders were 20/08/19 with shipping eta as 20/09/19 and they didnt ship till 5th Oct with some as late as 28th Oct.

So with that and taking into account the virus (based on Oculus Quest stock) that would make it March next year before FE stock is available. ;)

I didnt get my 2080ti until December. I'm so used to it anyway, it always takes 2 months for my to get my gpu after the official "launch"

You forget that the mining bubble meant that manufacturing for Turing cards didn't ramp up until later in the year. That's why stocks were so low at launch.

There is no sign that the Covid virus is delaying anything TSMC related. They never shutdown or ceased operations during the outbreak. You can't compare it to the Oculus Quest situation.

Well one thing's for sure, nVidia will know how RDNA2 performs before AMD do so they'll be tweaking their lineup accordingly (as always).

Yes they will know how it performs before we do, which is what I assume you meant.
But before AMD do, that would be a neat trick.

I will pre-order from Nvidia directly as soon as it goes on sale, so if they have any stock at all I will get it on release. Those who opt for aftermarket cards may indeed have a longer wait.

Another X-Trio will do me, cracking cards those, i can wait.

I'll have to see how long I can hold off the FOMO. I really, really want an AIO card this time - im so sick of loud GPU fans, but they usually take a few months to come out so who knows if I can resist...

Won't be any option for off the shelf either - no way the G12 AIO bracket is gonna work with a FE 3080ti if its a split PCB

^^ Was coming to post that, beat me to it.

You can clearly see it's a real cooler now.

It's certainly a revolutionary designed cooler matched with a revolutionary PCB no doubt

Yup, I really thought the original image made it look bogus, but this one, I agree it looks pretty real to me now.

Interesting concept and I'm sure it will work well..

That has me worried about power consumption and requirements.

However it should mean the GPU is packing some serious performance.

People are so hypocritical, when there team has high power or poor PPW then they don't care and only care about performance and value. When its he other team is matters suddenly lol.

A 320w single GPU consumer card (if true) would be unrepresented but if the PPW is there and you can keep it cool and quiet...
