NVIDIA Demonstrates Witcher 3 With Hair Works – Talks Hair Simulation, Next-Gen FleX PhysX and Turbu

Lichdom is available on steam. Think it's only beta and not sure if TressFX is present yet, but it will be. Star Citizen is unreleased, i think you know this, but the point was it's coming in more titles soon.

Not been keeping up but Star Citizen is something that interests me. Lichdom looks like a Skyrim game and that isn't my cuppa. I would also expect the new Tomb Raider to have it as well and that game I look forward to.

Looks very promising:)

Those of us who've lived through the evolution of this tech (from sprites to photorealistic models, basically the last 30 years:o:D) are probably the
most wowed by it.

The future of gaming looks bright:) or should that be Hairy:o:D

While it looks great i do wonder on how much a fps hit it will want

It is likely that whilst integrating a feature like this into a game, lots of testing and optimising will be performed and if it turns out that it's an incredibly graphically intensive feature then there will be options for it in the settings of the game - much like many games with PhysX and differing AO options, where varying degrees of these settings are available (low to high PhysX particles for example). Or it could just be a straight on/off option like the incredibly intensive Ubersampling AA method in The Witcher 2 :)

Should really think about getting this pre-ordered.

Do iiiit! :D

The Witcher games are bloody brilliant, and CD Projekt Red are probably my favourite development studios as they are one of the only ones left whom care about PC gaming and pushing the boundaries of technology on this platform.

It seems to be that lots of developers are just going along releasing games as they do and then CD Projeckt Red arrive on the scene and say "By the way, here is our new game, this is how it's meant to be done" - and they inevitably end up being right!

Yep, they've already said all dlc will be free (as always) and the premium edition of the game is a mere £40. Will sort it out on payday.

Wonder if we'll see any ubersampling again? :D

We could do, not that I'll be able to run it - I can run The Witcher 2 maxed out at 1440p but not with ubersampling enabled, damn is that an intensive AA method! It caused my fps to drop to the 30s at some points, so I play it without ubersampling - a shame because it does make a significant difference to image quality in my opinion.

But, anyway, I'm just hoping I'll be able to run Witcher 3 maxed out bar ubersampling at a solid 60 fps :) If not then it'll be new GPU time :D
