**Nvidia G-Sync owners thread**

I never notice tearing too much in fps games tbh, perhaps me concentrating on the game too much. I gotta admit I'm a monitoring addict when gaming. Coretemp for cpu, afterburner for gpu's. I get a bit oc'd with gpu temps. 80 max on my top card at 1920x1200. But the need for higher res is calling me. I've done some very silly cpu and mobo ipgrades in the last two years. I5 3570k, 3770k. Then 3 haswell i7 cpu's. In hindsight its money that could have went towards a new monitor. But I'm guilty of liking new cpu's. More fun for me than gpu's from a clocking point of view.

+1
Am the same. I could happy stay without this tech, but I in need of higher resolution. 1080p is becoming old school.

:D

There must be loads more ROG swift owners now it dropped about £100 in price...

SO where are all these new owners hiding..

Could be wrong but I don't think 700 to 600 is gonna bring many more owners. The people who were gonna buy one were gonna buy one at any price.

Or to put it another way, the £500+ people already got theirs in, the £300-400 people aren't gonna stray from their territory. :D

the vast majority of people who buy stuff from OCUK don't post on the forums at all, let alone the hive of scum and villainy that is the GPU section :D

to be fair it was kmetek who posted it in the ROG Swift thread in the monitor section, but as it is Gsync news I thought I'd add it to the gsync thread too

good news for those that prefer IPS

Been reading this on OCN, looks to be using a rumoured panel from AU Optronics that's emerging from R&D. Looks like a cracking screen, if nothing better is out by March I hope to combine it with a GM200 for my next rig.

There's some confusion over the listed response time, despite being IPS it's listed as 1ms.

AU optronics is basically Benq, who produce the panel for the swift. And the other Acer TN gsync display that's mentioned in that article. Tbh I'm surprised that Benq themselves haven't released a monitor using the same panel but based on their gaming XL range

You know it makes sense... come to the dark side, we have cookies (or in this case, gsync) :D

I might sell my 24" AOC 1080p and upgrade to 1440 now that I've got my second 970, so hopefully prices come down a little if there's competition.

Christ, does this upgrade itch ever subside!

No it doesn't... even sat here with Tri-Titans I have to keep reminding myself not to buy a pair of 970's
