**Nvidia G-Sync owners thread**

I suspect the 1ms response time is for the TN frameless version. Great to see more choices appearing in the gsync range. TN model does look much better, also prefer its stand design.

Now we/I just need a 120Hz UHD panel with G-Sync and I am sold. I don't care if it is TN or IPS, just get it done.

I'm actually surprised how many people like the bigger monitors.
I couldn't imagine gaming on something so large (for desktop), would be great for gaming in the living room though.

I tried a 3 screen setup and didnt really get on with the letterbox look... what i want is a single hi res large monitor that i can basically press my face against so the game fills my field of view

I find the pixel density of 1440 to be fine, but i want a bigger screen

27" 2560x1440 will be plenty for me, anything bigger in res and you need a fortune in gpu power to run it. Lack of space on my desk doesn't help either as its also holding a 32" telly.

When i had eyefinity, both in landscape and portrait it was just too much.
Prefer single screen at up to 27" The UW i have beside is nice as a second monitor don't know if i would like that sort of monitor as my main monitor.

Anything likely to come of these quantum dots that will be at CES? It's an LCD technology so maybe a gsync panel might be announced with them?

Depends on the game I guess, since I got my Acer 4k gsync monitor I've mostly been playing alien isolation. Settings are all on/ultra and AA is SMAA 1. This is with a single 780 and the game plays fine, fps go between 40-60 fps and due to gsync the gameplay always feels smooth

I also have Batman origins installed so ran the in game benchmark for that, settings are all DX 11 enhanced or on, MSAA 2x and normal phsyx. GSync is on so max frame is capped at 60, min was 36 and average was 49. Again the demo looked smooth due to gsync

A screen is potentially the longest kept piece of equipment we will buy, so it is great that all angles are getting covered. I have seen many people say "I would buy but I want IPS" or similar, so now there is even more people catered for on the G-Sync panels.

Very true about screen longevity, I've had my 20" viewsonic vx2025 for seven years, six years for the fp241w in sig. Aside from larger monitors, there's been very little that has tempted me to upgrade the latter monitor until now with the arrival of gsync.

For me it was the 144hz support for 2560x1440, GSYNC was just a bonus.

I wanted G-Sync more so and going from 4K back down a res, the 144Hz made it a sweet deal. G-Sync has impressed me more than I expected though and glad I paid the premium on the ROG.

Not a single regret here.

Nvidias DSR has also shown me that the spec in sig is easily capable of running 2560x1440, sure i wont hit 144 fps solid in a lot of games. But gsync should alleviate any issues that crop up due to fps drops.

Yep, im still a bit surprised that this DSR/gsync issue hasnt been sorted yet. Weve had several driver revisions since DSR first became available.
