**Nvidia G-Sync owners thread**

24" 1440p will be pretty small pixels without OS scaling which can look horrid on WWW etc.

27" 1080p IMO and many others here is too blocky.

27" 1440p is my ideal choice.

Also smaller than the older 16:10 screens.

I can hardly read Web pages with my monitor set to 2304x1440p (16:10) at default 100% scaling in Windows 8, so I run it at 1680x1050 for outside gaming use but CRT's do have very small round pixels not large square pixels like LCD.

Ideally about 3 foot though I am probably about 2 feet from mines.

Monitor is further back than M+KB is it not?

My M+KB is about 1 foot in front of my body and monitor is another 1 foot back so about 2 feet.

Those are ideal conditions not always practical conditions on the charts.

Look at the 2nd Photo, its not as big a difference as you would think.

So are many, mines is a chunky CRT so it cannot go back any further to wall or it would be another 1 foot back but its only 22.5" visible (24" Class).

I would have an LCD further back.

Will after look, how far I am. I know one thing though sitting to close to a big screen is horrible trying to play a shooter and you need to look around a lot more.

One thing I hated about playing on TV, it's never perfect you either to close or to far.

I bet if you get someone to measure while you try and sit where you normally would and you will be more than 1 foot away.

Console users mostly sit too far from their HDTV's, so far it does not even matter if its HD or SD and the games all have a low FOV by default (same as poor console ports we get).

You are going to need a higher FOV to be nearer a screen, that could be why you did not like the big TV and fact you may have had to move you head side to side to see both sides unless sitting further back.

That was the idea behind curved monitors but I do not see point for a TV as your further back and may be watching with others but for 1 person using a curved monitor where the centre and both sides as same distance from you is good.

Two foot the desk is plus me sitting down. So you probably correct about 3ft.

Ikea besta I use. Will think about it.
