Wish we had more info on this card, (390x too btw). I need a higher vram count card to move from 3gb 780's in sli. Full blown titan destroys theese old cards in a pair. But ive got a feeling that the ti will be at least £600.00. Need amd to show their hand too with the 390, supposed 8gb of ram and maybe cheaper than 980ti. Good interesting times ahead for all.

Doubt there will be many surprises - 16nm FF production cycle will likely mean early 2016 for any big leaps in nVidia offerings. Most likely a cluster or 2 less than the Titan X but higher clock speed and VRAM reduction to match.

Probably won't get anything official til approx. 18th June.

Bear in mind they have to wait for the FF+ variant, the Ti will probably be the top non-Titan card for a year minimum. Given that it's not a Titan there is a potential huge price war brewing, that may be the biggest one yet. AMD are desperate for that market share back.

Don't shoot until you see the whites of their pricetags...

Supposedly starting 16nm volume production for nVidia late this year (which is normally about 5 months to market IIRC) though not holding my breath, surprised nVidia are sticking with TSMC even with the lead times, etc. (for moving/re-designing for elsewhere) their sub 19nm planar offerings are apparently looking decidedly sub-standard.

They (NV) just released a statement bigging up TSMC too. Think they got a nice discount or change to the WSA as an incentive?

Of course the other clients likely fled simply because Samsung's node was ready, and NV stayed cos they need a process suitable for high performance/big dies, GF have not got one on any roadmap yet. We have known about FF+ for I think a year now. I doubt Samsung are interested in doing the work so that leaves it up to GloFo, I REALLY am curious to see how this all plays out.

And me this all looks very interesting.

Fiddlin' Google to stay top of search results, somebody DDoS them already. Take that stupid Drama Stars website that seems to comment on everything down with it at the same time.

Would be funny when AMD launch their 390X, Nvidia crash the party with the 980 Ti like they did with the 290X/780 Ti, And then the 390X turns out to be faster than the 980 Ti :p

Past the point of caring what's faster, just want them released so the prices can start to drop and we can finally move on with single card performance without going to astronomical flagship cards. :)

True but I just want to see Nvidia be all smug about the cut down Titan X i.e 980 Ti beating the 390X then AMD properly show off the 390X and then Nvidia are like "Ohh ****, What do we do now ?" :p

If it drives competition and prices drop, I'm all for it. I do want AMD to do well in this round, because if they don't I fear for their longevity. Certainly in their current form anyway.

I can't see them staying afloat without a buyer if the 3** series sucks the big one.

Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 Ti with GM200-310 Maxwell Core Could Launch by Computex

Read more: http://wccftech.com/nvidia-gtx-980-ti-gm200-310-maxwell-launch/#ixzz3ag6FZ500

A report by KitGuru (via PCGamesHardware) states that the rumored GM200 powered GPU, the GTX 980 Ti, could launch at the Computex trade show next month. The report also states that sales will start immediately after the announcement which means we are not looking at a paper launch rather than the actual event. The Geforce GTX 980 Ti will feature the Maxwell GM200-310 core, which will most probably be the cut down form and should be priced to compete with the upcoming Red launches.

"Probably cut-down", I don't like the sound of that.

I really hope the Radeon 390X is decent so that we get a full fat Ti again.
