They know they'll sell out regardless because it's something new.

Honestly, the way I see it going is £680 for the cheapest models rising to higher than the cheapest Titan X price for the super-duper versions. They'll come with the promise of TX beating overclocks to make them look better value of course but the greed that Nvidia have, I can't even see a price drop worth mentioning for the 980 (a tenner off doesn't really count, does it).

£600.00 is probably about as much as I can go to as well. Particularly as ill need to sell my existing cards to part fund an upgrade, and unfortunately price of 780's is quite low now.

Same here, £600 being my max, anymore is a joke. In reality the 970 should be a £200 card and the 980 a £350 card - but that's just used prices.

I love high-end hardware as much as the next guy, but I also don't like to feel like a mug buying something. Nvidia is most definitely getting into that territory. If the Ti pricing is high, some will cave and jump to the Titan, others will drop to the 980 (like me).

Depends what you mean by high? Do you mean maxxed?

If you just mean at high settings/Good settings.A 970/980 can both easily get well over 60fps on the 'high' preset in TW3 for instance
Was referring to Ultra settings without hairyworks. pCars performance is also pretty lousy across the board. I want a bit of overhead too, don't want to be faffing too much to hit 60 shortly after I buy the card. Plus it needs to give a great VR experience, and that's going to be costly.

Price/performance wise, the GTX 980 atm is relatively poor value compared to the 970. If it's launched at £650+, the 980 Ti won't add any more bang for buck. Those who thought that the 980 is not worth buying probably won't go for this. But those who considered getting a TX probably will.

Yeah, true, in the case of OcUK. :) "Looking around" is necessary.

I have been, an awful lot. Not seen one that low yet, although it's hard to fine a place that'll ship to Ireland as well.

Gah, all these conflicting price rumours are messing with me. Either Dual 980 Ti's or a Single TX for now. Not sure, all depends on price. Although if I can get a TX at 699, hell. Might take two
