But still the EVGA Hybrid copper version comes to 600 GBP (+ postage). If UK retailers think they can start selling the reference versions at this price...then "see ya"

Sure, but if I buy off OcUK they add an extra 3% VAT because I'm in Ireland. :/

It's still quite expensive! It seems cheap because of the price creep but looking back at my order history of top tier cards, it doesn't seem that much of a bargain, got these not long after launch: 8800GTX: £347, Radeon 5870: £350. I can't find the order but I'm sure my 9800Pro was around £250! So £200 more than we were paying for top tier cards a few years ago.

Edit: It's actually bad that no reviewers ever put out gpu usage displays on showing.

So from EVGA direct £550 for the Superclock+ with ACS 2.0+, not bad really.

Hydrocopper is £638 which given the cost of a block, backplate etc. isn't bad at all

Would anyone recommend swapping from 2x 780 (non-Ti) in SLI to a single 980 Ti (with later upgrade potential to SLI) for 1440p and some 4k (on a TV) gaming?

Yes I would do this,

double the RAM in a single card, plus probably 80% of the performance stock, overclock that badboy and your laughing..


I am in a similar situation.. do I sell my TITAN Z and buy a Ti?

Yes it will.

It will reduce the power draw hence the temperature hence the noise so yes

Yes! I was running my GTX Titans with v-sync and it reduced the noise/temps.
