**Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti Review Thread**

If you order from the EU EVGA site you don't have to pay extra tax.

yeah...cos you already pay German Mittelwertsteuer, so there is no difference.

But still the EVGA Hybrid copper version comes to 600 GBP (+ postage). If UK retailers think they can start selling the reference versions at this price...then "see ya"

Would anyone recommend swapping from 2x 780 (non-Ti) in SLI to a single 980 Ti (with later upgrade potential to SLI) for 1440p and some 4k (on a TV) gaming?

Yes I would do this,

double the RAM in a single card, plus probably 80% of the performance stock, overclock that badboy and your laughing..:)

I am in a similar situation.. do I sell my TITAN Z and buy a Ti?

tough one

Wow I am seriously surprised at the price. I was expecting £650+ but £550 is simply too good to resist even though that is a very high premium for a top end GPU in my opinion!

Had my gaming build for a few months now without a GPU, waiting for the 390x to come out but I just think I'll go with a 980ti for some 4k gaming and then add a second later on in the year which should keep me 4k gaming for a good 2/3 years I hope...

Sounds like they snared you already! :D Only 2 weeks to see what AMD is going to offer in this space. This is a loss-leader for Nvidia, to some extent, intended to damage the impact of Fiji XT. They probably have some insider information that we don't.

I might get told off about asking, but I currently don't have access to the MM, but based on eBay prices is it fair to assume I *should* be able to get around £220 for a boxed 780 (non-Ti) card?

Over on the EVGA Forums:
Sold out, the GPUs have been available for about 40 minutes, and the ACX have been sold out for the last 20-25 minutes.

Jacob any better estimate of the Classy ETA than "soon"? Are we looking a 2-3 weeks or 6+ weeks?

Looking around 1 month at this moment.

If the hydrocopper versions hold similar price to the ones on the evga site, then I may end up going for one of those, have always wanted an evga card :p

Yeah I know , I figure I can easily resell the 980ti if there is a new AMD card that performs better and is cheaper.

Plus if the AMD cards aren't as good as the 980ti then I don't want to risk having to wait until the 980ti's are in stock again, I have Witcher 3/GTA V pre-installed and ready to play and it's a bit frustrating :D

They may have to rethink their prices!

It's still quite expensive! It seems cheap because of the price creep but looking back at my order history of top tier cards, it doesn't seem that much of a bargain, got these not long after launch: 8800GTX: £347, Radeon 5870: £350. I can't find the order but I'm sure my 9800Pro was around £250! So £200 more than we were paying for top tier cards a few years ago.

edit: Of course that isn't going to stop me buying one :p
