**Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti Review Thread**

Runs as hot and uses as much power as the 780Ti and R9 290X, all within a slither of each other, yet everyone will claim it runs cool and quiet and the AMD power usage/heat output memes will continue. I just don't get it.

Although this card has some good performance for the price thats for sure, can't wait for a non reference cooler on it so we can see how well it really shines, it just can't handle the Titan X or the 980Ti unless you ramp those fans up.
Yeah it runs as hot, but is giving bucket loads more performance. 970 nearly matches a 290x or 780ti with half the heat and tdp

Only people who will tell you resale value on the TX hasn't taken a beating are TX owners. It's kinda sad that this 980ti with the performance it has will be around the £550 to £600 price as it makes a mockery of the TX and shows how over priced that card is. Especially when you can get 2 x 980ti for a few hundred more than a TX and absolutely smash it.

I have a bad feeling for AMD now though, something tells me their cards aren't going to be all that and Nvidia are landing knockout blows after the bodyshots from TX, 980 and to some extent the 970

Think I'll hang to see what the 3rd party vendors get up to as it seems to come in quite toasty minus a backplate on the reviews. Glad I held out on pulling any triggers for any of this years upgrades.
Looks a definite contender to future proof and move the 780 out and into the arcade cabinet build.

Not really though lol. Look at the oc3d results the 980ti matches / beats it, the differences are marginal

Yes really, still has more cores and VRAM and clock for clock it still wins. The scores I get on my card are way higher than the ones in the review.

We've been enjoying this performance for 2 months

Looks like my 780's are finally gonna leave my system. Although I'm still curious as to what AMD are gonna bring, and whether that would the card for me. 390x has to come in under £500 now really
