**Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti Review Thread**

People are drawing the line. They've been made to wait far too long. AMD's silence doesn't seem to be winning people over.

Pretty much this, I am now a disgruntled AMD user after about 3 continous years with them, now for a return back to the green side. AMD should have at least broken the lid and revealed more about what they have planned and prices etc but to be honest I am glad to be back with Nvidia, lets crank the Witcher 3 and Project Cars settings right up :)

Gibbo pls :eek::eek::eek::eek:

I refreshed the order page and it went up to that, given it 5 minutes and its gone back down again - panic over! :o

My order is stating 'Order Status: In our warehouse queue' for the EVGA reference design. I assume this means it will be shipped when they arrive?

Or can I be hopeful and it will be shipped today and you sneakily have them in stock? lol

Had that a few times Agnes and that just means they are waiting for stock, so could be a wait.... :(

ETA is 3-6-2015, so Wednesday for stock to arrive (fingers crossed).

Thanks! I'll be sticking with 60hz for quite a while so that does make it temping to maybe grab a Ref over a Hybrid then, decisions decisions!

*Grabs a wad of twenties and pops to bank*

This is normal. It's not so much v-sync as it is capping the maximum frame rate. You'll notice a difference in temps when running a 144hz refresh rate with either V-Sync or G-Sync over 60hz because the card is working harder.

First time ordering a GPU, bought the EVGA GeForce GTX 980Ti Superclocked ACX 2.0.

Is this a good one to get? I figured it was a good idea to not get a reference design for some nice overclocking which I hope I can do with this card?

Also, is this backplate already installed on the card and is this just purely for looks or does it serve another purpose?

£599.99..I never thought I would spend this much on a GPU, I always had a £200 budget in mind lol
