Thoughts ?
1. Do you play games or stare at your graphics cards ?
2. Depends on how old your psu is, remember it drops a fair bit of efficiency year on year.
3. At least you know you will still have that OC headroom if you ever need it.
The ACX's would be a good choice.
See, I wouldn't run Titan X's that close in SLI and the 980Ti is the same card (for all intents and purposes)
I ran them like this for a while:
And the top card was throttling at 83°C at the stock fan profile. That's why I went for AIO cooling.
So you got around £740-780 for your Titan X Mayh3m?
Have you tested since the new drivers were released yesterday?
I'm using the same case with aftermarket fans and for SLI would go reference for sure.
My 780 runs much better, but still chokes at the full 3440x1440. And the Witcher 3 looks 10x more luscious with the extra aspect ratio.
Thing is, can even the 980Ti handle that at 60Hz?
THere is no maintenance what so ever
I don't game with headphones, I use my home cinema for 5.1 audio but with the stock cooler you could hear it.
1:1 would be so loud!
Can't see it being louder than 2x non reference GTX580's, the top one hitting 90... something degrees
I tested them running with an android decibel meter and 2ft away and I seem to remember it hitting over 50db, with the case closed.
Just been having a play with a 980ti and it's no louder than any other card with the same cooler. The default fan profile lets the card get hot as always but setting a custom profile keeps the temps down and the noise is not that bad no louder than a 780ti or Titan X.
I've got the hybrid on pre-order.
As much as I would love to get a TI now, I know it is worth the wait. Hopefully won't be too long....

Are those hybrids triple slot? That might be tricky thinking about SLI.
