**Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti Review Thread**

I think anything over 1400 is pretty good for these cards. You shouldn't be too disappointed, I'm sure at those clocks it's faster than two stock 970s.

I suppose you're right. Just tough when you hearing people talk about how we should be able to easily add +300mhz on the core stock, and here I am only managing 245mhz.

I am only playing at 1080p anyway so I don't suppose the FPS increase from 245 to 300 wouldn't be that big of a deal but still would have been nice to get it said high though.

How many FPS do you average at 1080p in games?

To be fair I only heard about in my reply in the other thread http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=28136719&postcount=497

Quick google I think its this http://eu.evga.com/articles/00877/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-980-970-FREE-5-Years-Warranty/ however it isn't clear on whether it covers the Tis, I guess we will find out when we register our cards.

Just wanted to update, I've just registered my card on the EVGA website and I did indeed receive the free 5 year warranty upgrade. Awesome stuff. Make sure you register your card before the end of the month.

JayzTwoCents G1 review is up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2-gCXscH04 looking good and as i thought the fans are silent, read few was jumping ship for EVGA due to other video showing fan noise. Now for OCUK to do there part tomorrow with preorders :D

Nice one, will take a look at this. Gigabyte SOC's are legendary lol. Had this been out at same time as Titan X I would have gone for this.

Great review! So happy that I switched from ACX to the G1.

Here is a quick summary of the FPS results from the review (4k with maximum settings on each game including AA and AF):

  1. Alien: Isolation - 74 FPS
  2. Assassin's Creed: Unity - 35 FPS
  3. Batman: Arkham Origins - 111 FPS
  4. Battlefield 3 - 58 FPS
  5. Battlefield 4 - 43 FPS
  6. Bioshock Infinite - 68 FPS
  7. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - 94 FPS
  8. Civilization: Beyond Earth - 77 FPS
  9. Crysis 3 - 31 FPS
  10. Dead Rising 3 - 32 FPS
  11. Dragon Age: Inquisition - 47 FPS
  12. Far Cry 4 - 43 FPS
  13. GTA V - 38 FPS
  14. Metro: Last Light - 49 FPS
  15. Project CARS - 71 FPS
  16. Ryse - 46 FPS
  17. Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor - 59 FPS
  18. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - 40 FPS
  19. Tomb Raider - 63 FPS
  20. Watch_Dogs - 51 FPS
  21. Wolfenstein: The New Order - 53 FPS
  22. World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor - 121 FPS

Such a massive list of games they benchmarked which is very helpful and interesting.

When I get the card I don't think I would use AA at 4k so I would get higher FPS results and a few tweaks with settings and I can see gaming at 60 FPS @ 4k very achievable which is awesome for a single card.

Yeah the G1 looks a corker, much rather have that than the ACX. It is nice they included such a wide range of new games too.

Right I've watched the video review and read Guru 3D / Tech Power Up's.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming SOC.

Without being to dramatic, I think this is the best GPU ever made as of (16.06.15) lol. I prefer this to both EVGA Hybrids.

Runs quiet, faster out of the box than Titan X. Fans turn off when in desktop use (Silent). Overclocks like a monster and looks pretty awesome.

Depending on whether AMD can do something good with Fury X, this GPU might hold best ever crown until next year.

Why oh why could they not have released this before the Titan X !

I had a G1 on order which I swapped today for an EVGA Hybrid based on the G1 being noisey. Now after these two reviews I am thinking of swapping back again due to the better power delivery and memory / VRM cooling. I have never swayed so much on a purchase.

I think you will find that a lot of those games are not maxed out @2160p.:)

  • All video card results are obtained on this exact system with exactly the same configuration.
  • All games are set to their highest quality setting unless indicated otherwise.
  • AA and AF are applied via in-game settings, not via the driver's control panel.

That's what the review states, either way they are good results
