*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I sold my Gigabyte 2080 so I had enough to pre-order a 3080 this week. It was a risk I was willing to take. I just wanted to get in the queue as soon as possible. Who knows if I'll regret it.
All I can say is THANK GOD for integrated graphics.

Here it is boys, hope you have a next week full of good news

Asus TUF 3080 non-oc, looks like they aren't being produced at the moment then? Is there still no news at all on this card?

It's quite frustrating because it seems to be one of the best cards for noise and temps.
It's exactly the same card as the OC version but just with a different bios, since the OC version commands a higher price then it makes sense for Asus to prioritise these until stocks stabilise.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen,

I am getting tired of waiting for these stock issues to get sorted so I am now thinking to try buying the Radeon 6800XT when it launches instead of the RTX 3080. I have 3 questions for you, if anyone can assist I would apprecciate it:
-The main point that worries me about Radeon graphic cars is the super sampling technology. DLSS 2.0 of Nvidia seems amazing and I wonder if AMD will have a decent counterpart for this (and if anytime soon!). What do you think? Am I crazy going for a Radeon 6800XT or should I wait for a RTX 3080? (I don't really need it now and I am planning to keep this graphic card for 5+ years)
-How is the Asus 3080 TUF Gaming (non-OC) pre-order queue looking at the moment? Anyone who ordered not too long ago can tell me his/her position so I can get a rough idea?
-If I pre-order, will I be able to cancel it anytime and get my money back?

Many thanks in advance "and may the odds be ever in your favor".
never trust AMD all the time a lot of promises and always dissapoint me....Do you remember Polaris?

I didn't even know the AMD driver issues were big enough to be a meme, I thought it was just my own personal skewed experience. Not going back to AMD just for that reason, don't have a preference otherwise.

Hey guys, first time caller.number 138 in queue for 3080 auros master.every week im getting an email update with queue position which is reassuring and appreciated and my queue position is moving steadily but not sure if its moving because of cards arriving or people cancelling.i think the same worry must be going through other peoples minds.overall,I'm happy to wait (got a 780 to tie me over) but I think nvidia really screwed everyone over with this launch (announced way too early, too many pre orders, everyone at home with cash to burn)..but at least its a little bit of a comfort knowing there's others in the same boat..keep smiling everyone and may your queue position never stop :)

Welcome to the forum Kevin. As you say a lot of the reduction in the queues' will be cancellations unfortunately rather than actual cards shipping though i'm sure the aib partners factories are at full steam attempting to fulfil orders (though I may just be being hopeful).

Used RTX2080Ti are now selling for £1000 up from a low of £350 in September and the GTX1080Ti which had been fetching as little as £200 is now going for £550

All because of Nvidias' screw up on the stock of the 30xx series.

mate 2080tis were never 350, maybe desperate ppl selling it on the MM prior to 3080 coming on the market, before the fiasco

i kept eye on the bay daily as im selling mine

lowest i saw was 500, i sold mine last week for 725 and it sold in 30 mins

i originally listed it for 550 but cancelled the sale because i have no spare card, now i have a 980ti to use 750 is the going price for a asus strix oc 2080ti

it will drop again when 3080 are Widley on the market, but that will be January

People are sadly and I've seen 3090s at £2.4k. I refuse to pay more than RRP for my 3080 lol.

I saw Asus Strix 3080, £1550 and 18 BIDS

So ppl with money are paying double RRP

No wonder the scalping is so crazy on the bay

Just cant figure out why ppl cant wait, coz when 3080s are inundated in the market they will cry like babies.

Thanks malccy.hopefully when amd drops their line up of cards it'll alleviate some of the pressure off the 3000 series preorders which will be great for everyone

Well they offer better value and a quantity of Vram that will last more than six months, people will cry as soon as game optimized for PS5 comes out :D I saw quite a few people magically jumping queue here probably due of the number of cancellations.

I am holding off personally after AMD announcement as I would need to change my 34" Ultrawide Gsync monitor but will probably go down that way as there is no value from Nvidia whatsoever except ancillary tools they offer, as usual for the past 3 years, and as I think fanboys are sick people, quite literally, as that is not even brand loyalty really, they are consumer products.

I saw Asus Strix 3080, £1550 and 18 BIDS

Some people have Bot to do that too and make scalpers waste time, sure there are some people ignorant enough to pay double, they are no different than people needing help with other things like gambling, nothing to do with money, actually is probably the contrary, hopefully not connected with point above.

If one really want (?) a 30xx then can join a queue also because there are no games supporting RTX except the same bunch the failure that 20xx series had, I doubt any new console game with ray tracing worth playing will come out on PC before January, exception done for Cyberpunk which you can play without reflecting puddles anyway seen the situation.

Ok all, I know this is a stock specific thread, and i am genuinely not trying to wind anyone up, but I have a bit of an update on a comment I made about 8000 pages ago.

someone made a comment about using VR with a 3080 and I pointed out we were using 2 x MSi GTX 1080’s in SLi with an HTC Vive Pro and the VR was already pretty good.

well....if you have a VR rig and are still awaiting your 3080 I urge you not to lose faith and think its not worth it. Just tried Half Life Alyx with the MSI Gaming Trio 3080 and the HTC Vive and....HOLLY ****P!!!! We are talking hollo-deck levels of realism and graphics.

if any of you have been lucky enough to try the Void VR at Disney Springs you’ll know its pretty special. But I really can’t impress on you the improvement using the RTX 3080! It is ASTOUNDING!

So hang in there, especially if you are lucky enough to have a decent VR rig, the difference is well worth the wait.

oh, and if you don’t have an HTC Vive Pro and Half Life Alyx, make them your next big purchase.

Damn, I can't wait now. I played Alyx with my 2080 and it was the most realistic VR experience I've ever had. I can't wait for my 3080 at all now. The wait will be tough, but when I finally get it, I'm sure I won't care that I had to wait. Thanks for posting that, you've made it easier to hang in there waiting for the stock to arrive.

I wish people would just take a moment to check things before they post catagorical statements like this, especially when it's been posted that Ebay completed listings were checked for these prices. So here's the proof
