*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Does anyone know what the review embargo date is for the RDNA2 cards out of interest? Right now I'm trying to get my hands on a 3080 FE (missed the Friday drop by like 30 seconds :( ). I'm assuming the RDNA2 cards will sell out quickly, as everything else is right now, but I don't want to drop that kind of money without independent reviews being available.
One day before u can buy them

I ordered a non-OC TUF on day one but cancelled at the start of October for an Aorus master due to queue size. That is now cancelled after grabbing an FE 3070 on launch day.

It is probably superflous to post this but I feel the need to say something on my way out. I have been OCUK loyal for as long as I can remember and despite occasional parts from other retailers OCUK has been my default, even at a price premium. Even the chair i'm sitting on was an OCUK purchase. I appreciate the situation and shortages and understand it is not OCUK's fault but their communication and general attitude has been horrendous. I know this will mean nothing among the thousands you deal with but you have lost a loyal customer with your handling of this and i'm sure that I am not the only one.

Thats partly the reason I cancelled my order for a 3080 oc strix yesterday overclockers customer service has been abysmal plus I don't like the idea of overclockers having my money for the best part of a year in future I will probably just shop with a competetor as I have heard communication is far better elsewhere

staff told me the asus strix cards are so rare, they only receive very few, most ppl going down the que are pre order cancelations

AlsoZotac amp holo cards are also non existent, OCUK have not received any, thats what OCUK told me

Zotac Amp Holo is not released yet. Zotac have stated early November and there is rumblings of the 13th as a release. The amp extreme will be closer to late November early December

Thanks.

I've always preferred nvidia cards, mainly due to their drivers tending to be superior in my experience. Guess I'll carry on camping the various channels hoping to snag a UK FE drop of the 3080, then if I have no success by the 6800 XT launch, maybe take the risk, dunno.

Then again, I'm running an RTX 2070 at 1440p 144Hz, so really I don't need to upgrade anyway. Urgh :p
Having just moved from AMD to Nvidia, Nvidia drivers are crap.
Yes they work, but the user interface on the AMD software is miles better. You can use an overlay in game as well to change many settings, which Nvidia does not have.

It's great that AMD are actually close enough that we can go back to driver support being an actual reason to choose a card I guess... they've been useless for so long that these arguments went away for a while :D

Oh I have always found Nvidia Control panel very good. Out of interest what settings do you want to change on the fly?

I have been an OCUK customer for 10 years but over the past 18 months, I have moved away for most hardware as I find them not competitive. Which is a real shame as I have always used them. However, this shambles with communication (or the lack of it) has shifted me away even further. My current set up is made from entirely non OCUK parts and like for like was considerably cheaper when put together. I was holding out for a GFX card but I have temp procured elsewhere. It is a shame as I have always appreciated their service but my wallet does not.

Anyway, that is slightly off-topic. I am still hoping to be able to pick up a 30XX card but I feel it will not be from here.

Afraid I'm the same (even down to the chair haha). I can understand the global 3000 issue but their method of taking money in advance with the implication it gives better supply is proven to be nonsense. How we still can't just log into our accounts and see an eta or amend/cancel orders ourselves in 2020 is baffling. Getting stung by the "orders live at 5pm" 5900 series miscommunication was just icing on the cake.

Hmm had a MSI 3080 Gaming X Trio in my basket this morning on a whim, but decided not to pull the trigger. Just not satisfied with only 10GB of VRAM for £780. Think I'll wait and see AMD benchmarks, if they don't blow NV out of the water will probably just sit tight and wait for a 3080Ti or whatever.
