I get that throwing my 2 pence in this 1100+ page long thread won't do much, but it'll make me feel better.
I understand this is largely not OCUK's fault, but after being in a queue for the Zotac Trinity non-OC for almost 2 months now, I believe only those 15 mentioned in the other thread were ever shipped. I imagine any other queue movements have been down to people cancelling. I understand that, supposedly, it's Zotac's (and other AIBs') fault that the non-OC volumes are as they are, since they prefer making and shipping the more expensive OC counter-parts, but it's starting to feel like a ****-take, with pretty much 0 updates on some AIBs and no end in sight.
Where I do feel a bit shafted by OCUK, however, is in line with what others have mentioned: I'm 70-something in a queue for the non-OC, yet OC ones arrived today and there were more of them than the pre-orders. These were gone in a matter of minutes, with no real chance for people who've had good money stuck with OCUK for months now to snag one. So now I'm stuck in a bit of a limbo, where I don't really want to lose my queue position on this card by trying to guess what queues are like for others (as an aside, I even additionally pre-ordered one of the MSI models Gibbo announced a "very large" shipment of the other week, soon after he had, only to discover the queue was 1400+ and subsequently cancelling).
Now, the tiny conspiracy theorist in me would potentially also point out that OCUK might not have a lot of incentive to push for non-OC cards, as the OC counterpart for that Trinity is considerably more expensive than the non-OC—£100 from what I paid for it on launch, £60 today. However, I will try to continue to assume they are trying to do right by their customers.
I appreciate the updates on the forums, where possible, that OCUK are doing, as most other UK stores offer 0 communication. I hope you can also understand my frustration as I now have over £1500 in pre-orders sitting with OCUK across the 3080, Zen3 (which are now increasingly ridiculously delayed somehow) and a screen that's supposed to ship W4 of Nov (though I'm sadly doubting that one quite a bit as well), and I'm sure many others are in the same boat.
