*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

In addition to all the emails, @Gibbo should post a list of the cards with pre-orders in the queue and numbers delivered so far, so we don't keep having to play a guessing game in the forums.
What OCUK should have done was close pre-orders like other retailers and offer the option to transfer to other SKUs once existing orders are fulfilled. Other retailers are offering stock updates on their entire line-up and actively reaching out to customers on SKUs that are underserved; OCUK meanwhile is bumping up prices and putting products in stock, rather than supporting the people who have been patiently waiting months.

I'm sure OCUK will make a lot of money in the short-term but it will cost them in the long term.

I’ve gone from position 5 to 4 for the 3080 Xtreme so ONE has been shipped out. Generous from OCUK.

Prob cancelation, the Xtreme at this point isn't worth the money unless you like how it look's, the Ti will be similar money and I just saw a 2.5ghz clocked 6800XT that beats the 3090 by a margin so where Ampere doesn't overclock the 6000 series clearly does.

I canceled my Xtreme 2 days ago position 19, aint worth it aint arriving anytime soon said the guy on the phone.

Im of the opinion manufactures are holding cards back almost now as anyone getting a 3080 wouldn't mind the Ti landing so much in 12 months but the reality is January announcement of super/Ti and availability soon after.

Anyone who wants to call me wrong is welcome to disagree, but every single prediction I have made about Nvidia and it's strategy on these forums thus far has been right, they gave up on te 3080 months ago it was never the card they wanted to market other than to say "Hey look £650 msrp aint we great!" and to steal market share if possible/disrupt AMD's launch, then Nvidia can legitimately respond with the Ti and be like "Well the £650 was given away to you guys at that price unfortunately we are back to 2080Ti prices but it's justified now right fanboiz?" And we are back to realistically £1200+ AIB cards with Ti as the norm.

I mean you only have to look at OverScalpers price increases on 3080's the msrp was a marketing fantasy of Nvidia design to gain mindshare and acceptance of the high priced incoming Ampere Ti range, had Nvidia just launched at £1200 second time out the gate people would have baulked, but here we are same prices incoming and its 'ok' because the way it's been presented over the last 3 months.

I'm trying to cancel my order so I sent a webnote at the beginning of the week but not heard back and can't get through on the phone. Am I right in remembering that there was a another way to cancel the cards?

Hoping to see a sizeable shift in the Gigabyte OC queue today (at least 60 as cofirmed by @GIGA-Man) considering Gigabyte have shipped and OCUK have taken delivery of a "VERY LARGE" amount of cards unless they have been moved out of the back door like that scene in Goodfellas at the restaurant (pure speculation of course so I don't get snittily smacked down of course). Now to hold my breath and do a smurf impression.

Quick question. Gibbo said yesterday that an ok amount of TUF OCs is due within the next five days and then said today that there was a small amount coming in soon. Are these two individual shipments?

He originally said he was expecting an OK amount and it would appear that a small amount shipped.

That's the problem with trying to give people information about deliveries that have not actually shipped yet.

Thanks, I actually left the phone ringing and after half an hour got through and cancelled in the end. Interesting, the guy asked if I had used the cancelation form as if I should know about it. If I hadn't read this thread quite a bit in the early days I would have had absolutely no idea about it. I can't find any mention of it on their website and if you do a search on 'cancel' or 'cancelation' on the website you get nothing. The website doesn't give an email address but makes it very clear that the the best way to contact OC is via webnotes. When I mentioned I sent them a webnote the guy just said 'oh we're quite behind on those' giving the me the impression that they don't bother looking at those anymore because there are just too many!

Sounds like the OK amount came and went (at least 38 shipped yesterday). Then he posted later on the same day that a small amount was due to arrive.

Ordered a strix o.c from a competitor 2 days ago and I shall receive in one week. I am only 29 in the queue for that.
Obviously I will cancel my tuf order here when I receive from the other retailer.
I would prefer the tuf over the strix but with o.c obvious inability to secure stock I have spent the extra £200 with someone else that I feel deserve my business.
856 for a tuf here or 29 for a strix elsewhere it's not a difficult decision.

This predcisely. OCUK botched this completely.

This is why I logged my full build elsewhere. The lack of customer focus, especially when they've already had your money for months, just doesn't sit well.

If you're after money, grab a couple stocks while they're down...
This. If you pay for your power bills, Bitcoin mining is a false economy. There are entire warehouses now dedicated to Bitcoin mining, and with Bitcoin mining software shipping with many graphics cards as standard, the return is diminishing more and more every day. A Bitcoin-mining graphics card on a normal household tariff in the UK will cost more to run than it generates. It's better to spend the time picking at the stock market.
