It’s the same as all the other manufacturers, they are not getting nearly enough GPUs from Nvidia but the ones they are getting are binning well, so they go into the high end cards to maximise the return.

Actually I ignored all the assumptions about OCUKs motives, about how evil they are and they only want to do preorders for nefarious reasons. Primarily because it literally does not matter at all to anyone who is happy with the ability to queue. This is a hang up that you have, and some others have, but for many preorders they don't care, the OCUK ability to queue is a good deal for them irrelevant of speculation about their motives. Which is why thousands of people are still preordering.

I mean most of that speculation is blatantly wrong and spurred on by emotions, there's good business reasons for doing things like taking money up front for pre orders and things of that nature, but I simply can't be arsed to correct you on any of that because it simply doesn't matter. I don't care about OCUKs motives, I care about the deal I'm offered vs the other options I have and that's the same for many other people who have control over their emotions and are able to think clearly about their options.

Also claims of white knighting are just really stupid, I gain nothing "white knighting" for OCUK. I'm just telling it like it is. I want a service, they provide a service, as long as they remain the only people that supply that service then I'm going to have my preorder with them. Your own world view isn't even internally consistent, why on earth do you think i would "white knight" for OCUK? That's really weird, it's really dumb.
 
Moved 180 places in the queue for my Eagle since last week. Combination of cancellations plus stock actually slowly getting shipped now make me think I might end up getting my card sooner than I thought.

Guys what do you think about the recent ASUS tweet?
I am in for nonOC tuff 3080 from 790 to 600 now.

Do you think a large shipment will arrive (as the tweet said it will be worth the wait) or am I reading too much between the lines??

Wouldn't get your hopes up, pretty sure most are cancellations, including mine.
