*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Bigger queue does not appear to make any difference so far? I take the point most people cannot afford to have money locked up in a pre order and also buy in stock as they come. Interest is like nothing these days though.
Although if you are 1000+ in a queue why not swap cards?
Trust me when they have literally 1000s of peoples £650+ sat in their bank it all starts to add up in interest and its also essentially free money for them. I agree if I was anywhere past like 250 in a queue I would have given up! Im only sticking mine out because im 160ish in my queue, secured it at MSRP and can't afford to pay gauged prices in this current climate.

The simple reason your queue number is high, is because they still continue to take the pre-orders daily, and sooner, or later, you will be lost in said queue, know why? Because their 'greed' has got the better of them ;) Yeah, one day, it will clear, lol, but by then, you will be looking forward to your next upgrade, before you even got this one :)

As a business owner, I can tell you that business accounts do not gain any interest. Everything that gets done on a business account costs money. Go to a teller to put cash in - costs money, take cash out - costs money, accept a debit/credit card payment - costs money, refund a customer - costs money, heck there's even a monthly charge just to have a business account. That being said, it doesn't pay to have a huge stack of money sitting doing nothing in your account, so my guess is that the pool of cash is being floated on the markets to make it work until the cards we're all waiting on turn up.

This is the information I expect to receive from a Company, who does not take pre-orders every second of the day:

13/11/20 - Afternoon Update: So far today only ZOTAC RTX 3070, ASUS & PNY RTX 3080 and ZOTAC RTX 3090 have arrived. We are still expecting shipments across multiple brands for RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090. We have updated the table with the latest information and extended the ‘Expected’ date through to Sunday as shipments could still arrive this evening and over the weekend. If any shipments do arrive customers receiving cards will get notification via email and we will then share updated queue positions for those models on Monday.

Unfortunately, we have been informed of a delay on a large shipment from EVGA due to logistics issues surrounding flights. Some stock arrived earlier this week but the rest will now be next week. We have added WC 16th November to the table to show the current confirmed shipments and total amount of cards expected. We continue to work on confirming the TBC shipments.

As per previous updates about new model cards we have received that were not available for pre-order, we are still in the process of contacting pre-order customers to offer alternative brand models in the same price range. As this is a manual process that involves calling individuals we ask that you do not contact us, regardless of your queue position. We are working through these as fast as we can and will be in touch with those to be offered an alternative card.

They also do NOT hike up the cost per card, just to milk it.

I am expecting a post update stating its Not their fault with requests not to take out frustrations towards them. The fact is they are no different than an ebay scalper and they are constantly gouching prices.
This exactly what they deserve! In my opinion.

I have never bought from here as I usually search the market and in the past have always found the prices to be higher than any other retailer.
Ordered for the first time and here It has been an horrific experience.

Fair enough its nvidia's fault and general market dynamics of the stock etc etc. But price gouching is absolutely ridiculous and that ISN'T Nvidia/ AMDs or AIB's fault when most places are selling the same stuff at a lower price.

I purchased x2 5600x CPUs and 2X 3070 from competitors on launch day bith with next day delivery for just £5 and they even combined postage for both CPUs. Also the CPU was 20£ cheaper and most models of 3070 were around 30 to 70 cheaper on launch day. That is just awful from overgouchers!

The only reason I am here is my tuff order which may cancel as soon as I get my 3080 from somewhere else.

Ever heard of Swiss Bank Accounts? ;) Bank transfers are very easy today :)

Does anyone know any info on the 3080 amp holos?

Yes. You can get it Summer 2021, or go grab it now elsewhere :)

Anybody in line for a 3080 Trio X by MSI, be warned the backplate is Plastic, no matter what words MSI use to try and spin this, fact remains it's weak plastic, and many customers including me are receiving them broke out of the box.

WORST part is, clearly I want to return this card and get a different one, no way do I want a sub par product like this, but overclockers are going to put me back of the queue to RMA this card for a different one :( Meaning I won't even see one now till well into 2021, all that work f5ing on release hour, failed carts, websites down, payment gatway fail, f5 again, then finally after 47 straight mins of F5ing and failed carts I ordered one, all that work to not even get one till next year anyway ffs

^^And here is where the system fails^^ ;)

What happens if you get a duff card? Back to the end of the very long line you go in here, unless they have reserved a few cards, lol, for that purpose? NOT!

I would honestly 'superglue' that bit back on, else you will be without a card for months IMO.

Notify them, send them the pics, and say you will send it back once a replacement is on the way, even if it's costing you postage, but use it meantime.

Dude trust me i've tried, I have asked If i can send as and when stock comes in -refused
can I send when we at least know a date for stock leaving overseas - refused
can I pay another £800 and have you send me one, and then return mine, refund my 800, and keep it if i don't send - refused (to be fair, odd one so never expected this to be a thing)
I've asked can I Watch gibbos thread and when I notice a date of a shipment, send it back, thus making no difference to overclockers at all - yes, even that was refused!

It's a case of keep taking pre-orders KEEP TAKING PEOPLES MONEY, and don't give a hoot about people after that, with broken products, already got my money so no need to give me the time of day anymore!!

What are asus doing? Are they even shipping many TUF cards now? If they are purposely not making many due to low profit then that's ridiculous, they sold some at 650 which what i paid for mine, others paid more and they are even more expensive now.

So what's the excuse for being so slow? If this keeps up I will just try to get a founders, which I was doing yesterday but none showed up

Thats some poor customer service right there ill never shop here again thats for sure, maybe if theyre selling something I cant get anywhere else then I will this is my 1st order from here and will be my last once my card arrives lol and I hope to god it is in 1 piece!

Can I ask why everyone still uses the pre-order term? A pre order is when you order PRIOR to release hence ‘pre’.this normally guarantees delivery on release day. These are usually limited to stock due for delivery very close to release..

Nvidia are the root cause but OC have done a mighty poor job.

I picked an eagle because it said available days later... so did everyone else for the same reason... false advertising

my queue position being based on amazon pay clearance time not time of order is hundreds back, spent 8 hours on the phone early on and never spoke to OC customer service! Shocking

then sent a web note in and got told basically tough..

and until a few days ago they kept ‘ pre orders open’.

we are in a simple back order queue with a supplier that lacks the clout it thinks it has to get the items we want into our hands.

It also won’t just admit that, and what’s all this rubbish with qty descriptions, any nda is now surely mute , what are the suppliers going to do ? Not supply the stock?

the only single positive is I paid MSRP, that’s not a consolation when it looks like mid 21 before it arrives.

Sorry needed to rant, I know it’s just a graphics card.

In summary:

Where’s MAH Card? :mad::o:mad:
