*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

No. No there isn’t. Maybe 10 of another card. This card isn’t even released yet. Zero stock has been received of it by any retailer in any region. Release early - mid December
Not true at all, why are you giving false information. Its been for sale in Malaysia, Australia and the USA last week and this. So it exists, the competitor said they were due to recieve stock news, yesterday

I’m trying to be helpful by advising on the most current information.

The original post and my comments refer to the Zotac 3080 Amp Extreme. I stand by my statement it’s not released anywhere.

I think your referring to the Zotac 3080 Amp Holo. This is a different card and yes it was released on the 9th November in the US region and slightly before this in Asia.

Hopefully this clarifies things.

Gigabyte RTX 3080 Vision OC delivered today, replaced my Gigabyte 2070, now bring me Cyberpunk!!

This looks identical to the set up I'm building, same AIO, same fans, same case, same mobo and same GPU and ram :eek::eek:

MSI 3080 Gaming X Trio - now queue position 406

I have built a first gaming pc for a friends son for Xmas - and have promised my old trusty 980ti for that machine

I’m not convinced I’ll get my new card for Xmas at this rate, so I’m starting to think about ordering a AMD card next week

Anybody in line for a 3080 Trio X by MSI, be warned the backplate is Plastic, no matter what words MSI use to try and spin this, fact remains it's weak plastic, and many customers including me are receiving them broke out of the box.

WORST part is, clearly I want to return this card and get a different one, no way do I want a sub par product like this, but overclockers are going to put me back of the queue to RMA this card for a different one :( Meaning I won't even see one now till well into 2021, all that work f5ing on release hour, failed carts, websites down, payment gatway fail, f5 again, then finally after 47 straight mins of F5ing and failed carts I ordered one, all that work to not even get one till next year anyway ffs

"Many customer's"

Dude you're the first I've seen that's come like this

Dude trust me i've tried, I have asked If i can send as and when stock comes in -refused
can I send when we at least know a date for stock leaving overseas - refused
can I pay another £800 and have you send me one, and then return mine, refund my 800, and keep it if i don't send - refused (to be fair, odd one so never expected this to be a thing)
I've asked can I Watch gibbos thread and when I notice a date of a shipment, send it back, thus making no difference to overclockers at all - yes, even that was refused!

It's a case of keep taking pre-orders KEEP TAKING PEOPLES MONEY, and don't give a hoot about people after that, with broken products, already got my money so no need to give me the time of day anymore!!

Disgraceful. Bunch of clowns. You’ve summed up their attitude to customers right there.

If we let them they will continue, only power we have is with our wallet. Stinks but that’s how it is. Feel bad for @Dean Guile , you finally get the bugger and it’s damaged! OC/MSI should be sorted this just pushing you back. I’ve got an eagle oc on order 300 on first notification, now 180. Personally I’m getting close to sacking OC off and wait until next year.

That sucks dude.

Long shot, but have you tried reaching out to MSI? They might be able to mail you the back plate in the post, as I'm guessing it's just held on with screws?

I've done this with a few other items in the past and the manufacturer have always helped out.

Agreed to all of this. I've spent probably close to £4k with OCUK over the past 5 or so years. After this card I decided to never do a pre-order with them again, but since then both of my recent orders, for things that are fully in stock, have been delayed by almost a week each due to the item being "out of stock". The second one, I literally only ordered a GPU vertical mount, which said 50+ in stock and it took a week because they were "out of stock". Asked the CS rep why the website says it's in stock when it apparently wasn't and never got a reply.

After that I'm simply going elsewhere for everything. I don't care if it's an extra £5-10 I'll just buy elsewhere because OCUK are too unreliable. The only problem is OCUK are the only place that stock my watercooling joints in white (can't even get them from the corsair website and AFAIK no other companies make white, only chrome...) so lets hope I don't need any more of those any time soon...
You best order them now so you have them in a few years when you need them :D
As a business owner, I can tell you that business accounts do not gain any interest. Everything that gets done on a business account costs money. Go to a teller to put cash in - costs money, take cash out - costs money, accept a debit/credit card payment - costs money, refund a customer - costs money, heck there's even a monthly charge just to have a business account. That being said, it doesn't pay to have a huge stack of money sitting doing nothing in your account, so my guess is that the pool of cash is being floated on the markets to make it work until the cards we're all waiting on turn up.
yes. even excess money in business accounts can be used to make money. not interest on that account but most savy business owners will have places they can use the money to offset debts, stocks, heck even a savings account with a week(it doesn't take this long now i know) to move money back and forth would work for them at the moment!
Can I ask why everyone still uses the pre-order term? A pre order is when you order PRIOR to release hence ‘pre’.this normally guarantees delivery on release day. These are usually limited to stock due for delivery very close to release..

Nvidia are the root cause but OC have done a mighty poor job.

I picked an eagle because it said available days later... so did everyone else for the same reason... false advertising

my queue position being based on amazon pay clearance time not time of order is hundreds back, spent 8 hours on the phone early on and never spoke to OC customer service! Shocking

then sent a web note in and got told basically tough..

and until a few days ago they kept ‘ pre orders open’.

we are in a simple back order queue with a supplier that lacks the clout it thinks it has to get the items we want into our hands.

It also won’t just admit that, and what’s all this rubbish with qty descriptions, any nda is now surely mute , what are the suppliers going to do ? Not supply the stock?

the only single positive is I paid MSRP, that’s not a consolation when it looks like mid 21 before it arrives.

Sorry needed to rant, I know it’s just a graphics card.

In summary:

Where’s MAH Card? :mad::o:mad:
You and many others paid MSRP. But now you're waiting whilst others who paid £50-100 elsewhere have their cards (AND CODES). How much is your time worth whilst youre waiting in line? Maybe you have a card that works well for you already so waiting isnt an issue but a lot of people don't. Queueing makes no sense to me right now at ocuk.

wow. thats not great. you may be best going direct to MSI tbh. I can't believe they used plastic. Even zotacs which most people turn their noses up at have metal backplates and feel substantial in your hands. Really poor show by MSI and also ocuk.
"Many customer's"

Dude you're the first I've seen that's come like this

He didn't say ocuk customers lol. Surely one broken card is 1 too many in this day with better manufacturing and packaging options. If MSI had done either better then this wouldn't happen ;)

People need to wake up see how ocuk are treating their customers..

You only see how bad/good somewhere is when things go wrong. Enough said ;)

why would you even do this to yourselves. Let’s be honest, you are NEVER seeing those orders.

I am quite happy to wait until I manage to get a Strix 3080 OC from elsewhere then I cancel my order. I don't need the money atm.

I am thinking I might go up to the 3090 OC so a few months saving give me the £800 i would need for that. I just wait and see what happens first.

It has to be ASUS.
I have been in the computer industry in various guises for 30 years. My first full time employment was 5+ years as a technical engineer in a computer shop repairing customer machines. I have worked for a large computer whole seller as a team leader supplying the likes of OCuk (in their ESNET days) with their parts. After that for a few years I was manager in charge of setting up and running a high street computer/hifi shop. Although I no longer work in the industry I still have my finger in the industry building and maintaining mine and all of my friends PC's and their friends PC's.
My overwhelming experience has taught me that ASUS produce the most reliable hardware. In the case of 3080's and 90's I think I am correct in believing that ASUS cards are the only ones that use all MLCC capacitors on their cards and no SP-CAP.

I could change to AMD but I have seen so many broken promises with ATI in my 30 years of hardware experience. Every card they have ever released was supposed to be an Nvidia Killer, "the card that will change the future of gfx". None upto now ever have in the real world. There may have been a brief window of a few months on a few cards that put them above Nvidia by a tiny amount but then NVidia release a bios update and problem fixed.
Even AMD themselves do not fill me with confidence. Look at the stability issues they have with the last few generations of CPU's. I don't want to wait many months or years for stable bios's and drivers for my new GFX like they had to with ZEN, ZEN2 and ZEN3 (yes I am aware a lot of that were down to the motherboard manufactures but AMD supplied the specs they had to work too, so ultimately AMD are at fault)
I will just wait and see real world experience.

So there u go. I will sit and wait and soldier on with my 1070ti for now.

Up until recently I would have agreed with you with regards to motherboards. I have tried a lot of manufacturers and only ASUS boards have been rock solid but always had good experiences with MSI GPUs as all the MSI cards I have had were a good price and lasted beyond the time of my ownership. However, on this occasion I went ASUS on the GPU because of quality concerns over the MSI cards as well as higher comparative pricing so now converted to ASUS. Unfortunately, it appears that this reputation for reliability has made ASUS complacent and aloof to their customers.

To be fair I use an MSI 1070ti Gaming atm. It OC's quite nicely on the few occasions I play with it.

OK, after yesterday's queue update I did a little bit of F5ing. Within 30 minutes, success.
My new card is currently on its way.
As soon as it lands I will be cancelling my pre-order.... and never touching another Asus product again.
Good luck everyone, cards are rare but they are out there.

usual stream of negative crap, all the people moaning! ffs cancel and go elsewhere! really sick of hearing your spoilt child rhetoric! theres only so much of this normal people can take, i suggest some of you get yourselves a new hobby and get a fresh perspective on life.

I think there is a pretty vast middle ground you're missing where lots of people are rightfully really frustrated at the situation and OC themselves, without devolving into childish entitlement

Why don't YOU get a new hobby and let people enjoy their moaning :) - you don't have to read it lmao.

What do you class as a normal person? Somebody that gives away £600+ and then just waits? if so im sure there's a few nigerians that will invest your cash well :P - right now to a lot of people this is exactly what it feels like :(

Unfortunately a lot of whats said resonates with others here and you, plus a couple of others are the only ones that seem to think ocuk are doing a great job with all of this. Everybody knows nvidia messed up but ocuk dealt with it all wrong and then did the same again with amd cpus. now they're grabbing more money and treating the customers who's money they've already taken like trash!

Instead of accusing others of "negative ****". Why don't you show everybody the positives? What have ocuk done thats impacted things well? :)

wouldn't be surprised if the negative propaganda in this thread is instigated by OCUKs competitors
