*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

i ordered at 15:19 and my position is 102 right now. I’m extremly frustrated that my order did not move since i have ordered on launch date. I really did have faith in Gigabyte delivering but looks like i gotta move away from Nvidia and probably Gigabyte too.

I ordered at 15:09 - so 10 mins earlier than you, which is basically a lifetime in queue position terms and am somehow 10 spots behind you, so it's not all bad

I dont get why they didn't close preorders when reached a max number
Why they didnt communicate properly
Not giving clear numbers, updates
Full payment upfront, never seen this in a preorder
No option to choose stock

Simple. GREED! ;)

Can't believe some of you are still here lol!!! 2 cards I have got since I left, one each for son & daughter, although I still have to get myself one, (still rockin a 1080ti) but it certainly won't be from here, no Sir! :)

I find it amazing that after cancelling my pre-order for the Asus Tuf OC, I have managed to bag myself a card from a competitor within 2 days and for nearly £100.00 cheaper. Delivery will be 5 days. I have been a loyal customer for 11 Years but the price gouging and total lack of any competence from OCUK has made me go to a competitor for all future purchases. Good luck to everyone else you will need it!

It's possible that the queue system accidentally sent him the wrong number, so it won't move until it actually reaches his position. Don't think their tech guys had all the time in the world to test the system.

ASU’s tuf non ok card is being produced in very small numbers at the moment as the binned chips are to good to put into these cards and are used for ok versions could be December or January before this changes
This has turned me off Asus. If supply is this low in general you can't just screw over the customers who didn't buy the OC version. The OC customers paid for a better performance card, not one that's delivered earlier. If that had made that clear I would have paid extra for the OC version.

Also no updates from OCUK today on the Asus TUF Non-OC, guessing sweet fa has happened.

Got a queue email update for Palit RTX 3080 non-OC: Still position 38 in a 2nd week in a row. Two things are going to happen: either getting one somewhere else and cancel here, or be more patient and wait for at least a month before my order is dispatched.

I agree! Have bought off these guys for years, spent plenty, but they will not get another penny from me, ever!. Decent companies have their 'pre-orders' closed until they can complete, and fulfill the customers invoice. Not this shower, it's a mess, and when it's all over with, I hope they go to the wall. Add to the fact that they are hiking up the cost, well above the norm, well...

I’m the same, ordered tuf oc but would have been waiting till next year for it. Got a palit for £720 but then bagged a fe so sent the palit back. There is stock out there on competitors sites, I just joined a telegram alert group to get mine and that pings of alerts a fair few times a day.

I didn’t even bother with oc for zen 3. If I can pick one up like I did my 3080 then great if not I’ll wait for stock to get better. Won’t be ordering of oc again unless it’s the cheapest which it never is anyway.

Well said they can blame there distributors and nvidia for then terrible stock situation but Price gouging and terrible Communication is all them. Before they stopped taking pre-orders they jacked the price up of the asus tuf non oc to £800 the rrp is £650 gouging their customers for £150 and there doing the same with the ryzen 5000 series.
I have been a customer of ocuk for 20 years since I built my first pc but there is no excuse for ripping people off so if I receive my 3080 from them it will be my last purchase

Gigabyte Vision ordered on 14/10/20
23/10/20 : 79
39/10/20 : 76
14/11/20 : 27

Luckily this card has a low queue! Fingers crossed for an ok delivery next week.

I am confused to why people are angry that OCUK take full money for when we pre order? Imagine the queues if you only put a small deposit!
I do get frustration with the price fluctuations compared with competitors seems a little greedy in these desperate GPU times. But business is business.

Any chance you can say what telegram you joined? I joined whatever groups came up for 3080 part alerts last week but havent have one update from any of them.

I was only a little later at 17 Sep 2020 15:30:00 and am 356 in the queue now. Trying to find one for a reasonable price when they come up elsewhere as I'm not even going to get it until March at this rate of cards! Wish the tweets weren't mostly for 3070's at 3080 prices or 3090's at near £2k though!

I'm struggling to understand how this is fair that I ordered before you yet im quite a fair bit behind you in the queue?! Nothing against you at all but this just solidifies how flawed their queuing system is/has been! When I get my card in hand you best believe that I'm going to phone in to complain, especially if I dont end up getting my promised free game and my next day delivery fee back!!!

Nah mate, the air gets trapped around the inlet causing higher failure rates long term, just watch the video?
TBH AIOs "should" have very little air in them and this will always find its way to the highest point. Seeing as this particular person has the radiator outlet above the cpu block means air shouldn't really be an issue. It's unlikely to be pulled through the pump imho. I'd prefer to have the in/out of the rad above the gpu etc myself even if it did take a few months off its expected lifetime though. I always try to fix mine to the top of the case but if they're big or theres no place in the roof then i always mount them with the pipes at the top of the rad. Never caused me an issue personally but each to their own :p

how did you pay? different methods took different times. I paid with amazon pay and ended up like 300 places further back than somebody that ordered 2 mins before but paid by card. It seems queue is determined by when payment cleared in ocuks eyes and not when the order was placed. Yep i think thats a shocking way to do it but its the only reason i can see. Either way i cancelled and found something elsewhere without queueing and with game codes. Here i'd still be pretty far down the queue

You think they care about having a lengthy queue? If anything having bigger queue gives them leverage to receive more cards! They take all the money upfront because they're greedy! Because they know the majority of people can't afford to essentially buy 2 cards, 1 from maybe a competitor and one from OCUK to see which one arrives first so they can cancel the other (hope that makes sense) Also they gain the interest on your money instead of you gaining it. Simple answer is they are greedy scumbags.

Agreed to all of this. I've spent probably close to £4k with OCUK over the past 5 or so years. After this card I decided to never do a pre-order with them again, but since then both of my recent orders, for things that are fully in stock, have been delayed by almost a week each due to the item being "out of stock". The second one, I literally only ordered a GPU vertical mount, which said 50+ in stock and it took a week because they were "out of stock". Asked the CS rep why the website says it's in stock when it apparently wasn't and never got a reply.

After that I'm simply going elsewhere for everything. I don't care if it's an extra £5-10 I'll just buy elsewhere because OCUK are too unreliable. The only problem is OCUK are the only place that stock my watercooling joints in white (can't even get them from the corsair website and AFAIK no other companies make white, only chrome...) so lets hope I don't need any more of those any time soon...

Hoping to see a sizeable shift in the Gigabyte OC queue today (at least 60 as cofirmed by @GIGA-Man) considering Gigabyte have shipped and OCUK have taken delivery of a "VERY LARGE" amount of cards unless they have been moved out of the back door like that scene in Goodfellas at the restaurant (pure speculation of course so I don't get snittily smacked down of course). Now to hold my breath and do a smurf impression.
Well I moved like 32 I think on the Eagle. Hope you did better if you're waiting on a different card.

My eagle oc order went through at 15.19 on the 17th & my queue position today is 250

Why is it bad?
It wouldn't be in normal circumstances but the fact they take full money upfront let's them just make insane interest on everyone's money and then if anything goes wrong they can just refund you your money without a care in the world because they've made profit from said interest. You would have to be an absolute moron to sit in this queue past anything remotely close too 1000, especially if you've been reading these forums seeing people moving maybe 20 spots in like 2 months for some cards. Like he mentioned if you do the math (I'm not going to) but you are looking at way past 2021. A year of everyone's £700+ is a heck of a lot of interest.

Bigger queue does not appear to make any difference so far? I take the point most people cannot afford to have money locked up in a pre order and also buy in stock as they come. Interest is like nothing these days though.
Although if you are 1000+ in a queue why not swap cards?
