*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

No idea what he's talking about when saying what does someone with a faulty card expect?
Certainly not to go to the back of the queue for a start! No one is asking OCUK to send invisible stock, but to want to RMA the card for a different one and to have to wait as if it's a new purchase through no fault of my own, due to MSIs shoddy backplates, is unfair.
This is the thing. Leaving customers out on their own when there’s an issue is really poor. Keeping 1 or 2 from initial stock I would have expected to be the norm. Nobody should have to wait even longer through no fault of their own after already waiting months for their purchase. Granted if msi issue is a big one and created lots of RMAs for ocuk then that’s different but for the odd one they should have that covered. Assuming the card actually works and it’s cosmetic then an “ok we will replace when we can” would have been a start. They may even be able to get the broken part as a spare from msi. It doesn’t seem like they care though and that’s disappointing for everybody either with a card from ocuk or even waiting in a queue.

It's really simple. Queue position should be valid until you have a fully satisfactory product. So, if you got a faulty card and need a replacement, you are at the front of the queue until you get it.

I have just got an MSI 3080 Gaming X Trio and it's fine. No sag even without the support bracket. No issues.
I just fixed up my 3080 Ventus with the support bracket and wondered if reinforced pcie slots is the future? Or maybe a new design for even heavier future gpu's. All this and mega psu's when they start pulling 400+ watts. Isn't technolgy supposed to get smaller, lighter and more efficient?

His attitude is just a sign of the times. Some people (usually under 35 but not exclusively) have been programmed to be loyal to private corporations no matter what way they behave, and the old 'customer is always right' has been replaced with 'the customer is an entitled *****' who should just go away if he isn't happy.

I've come across this attitude many times in recent years. Enthusiast communities are the worst. I once had a very expensive keyboard with a chattering/denounce issue. In the support forum for that product I got accused of being an agent from a competing company spreading disinformation, was told I wasn't typing correctly, that I didn't understand switch technology etc - anything but accept the truth that the keyboard had an issue. in the end, the keyboard was fixed with an update that extended the debounce time - but not until months later and thousands of RMA's.

In marketing speak these people that defend corporate behaviour are called digital champions.

this.. don’t understand anyone who can utter a good word about OC, not a great price, support is meh and have no buying power.. just boot lickers with loads of post sticking up for them.

of course this person should head to the front of the queue .. any other decision is insane and dire customer service.. we sent you crap and we’re not going to sort it.. unbelievable

Thanks guys above, that's exactly how it should be, and most certainly how my 2 businesses run. For the it works return when stock comes in comment, flatly refused that aswell. Literally zero help, I understand it's stressful at the moment, and really busy, partly ocuk own fault with how they have allowed unlimited queues, fact still remains by law infact, if a product is damaged/broke the seller is responsible, as MSI even said to me in an email they sent me.

pay someone else to fix it and head to the small claims court...

I just want to relay the facts for clarity and understanding, the 2 options I asked for:

1: With how many I see breaking across reddit of the MSI backplate, I don't want an MSI card and want to RMA this faulty product, for a different card - Answer was return it and get put back of the queue
2: Return my card for the same card (as much as I hate to have the same card knowing it's sub par build and backplate) was to return the card as and when stock arrives, or is due to arrive (upon me not ocuk, upon me checking gibbos thread for an msi shipment) - Answer was refused, apparently "THE SYSTEM" cannot allow such a simple request.

I buy IT equipment for a living, how OC have operated this launch is genuinely an embarrassment! We know it’s not life and death.

None of it makes sense for a business, all the current orders are cancelling and new customers to OC like me will never come back.

Managed to bag a FE 3070, just don’t understand the logic I have ordered many items that have longest times but always get an ETA is that so much to ask for?
I concour, I think in the future ocuk will lose a little because of the mistakes and things they should have done, time will tell, im not saying they are saintly:p

There is chaos at the ports and the stock situation is not getting better anytime soon.

Prices may even go up and anyone with a locked in price should hang in there. Patience!

"Freight manager Matt Hudson warned that "if the chaos continues, increased shipping prices will be passed on to consumers"."

Ohh dear ... hide that from Gibbo :p;)

For the processing equivalency they are smaller, lighter and more efficient.

In the short term I hope there won't be too much of an issue since all these cards will be getting shipped as air freight. Thats only because its economically viable at the moment though since so many cards are in very high demand. Give it 6 months or a year though and I'm pretty sure they'll be coming over by boat.

:p haha! yes a few ars** need kicking again, the way it always goes, the ones in charge screw it up and then the minions have to pick up the tab! Great system.

There's some very reasonably priced Strix available elsewhere currently. Probably about 15 left but they've been up for a few hours (about 60 available originally) - wont say where due to forum rules of course, but they're cheaper than TUF here at OC, including postage. Seller seems reputable too, honestly was quite tempted myself but I doubt the performance difference between FE and Strix is worth further card hassle when I'm gonna watercool anyway :P
