*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Decided to cancel, I asked for the cancellation through the web notes thing on Friday afternoon, any idea how long the process should take?

I'm going to risk the drivers and go full red with a queue position for the 6900xt

I read in this thread best way to cancel is by phone what is how i done it but be warned! I was in a phone queue for 50 mins and talked to 2 different guys who sorted my cancellations out and a RMA for the motherboard and it cost me almost £12 from a landline!!!!

Well my Asus Tuf OC eventually arrived. All the frustration of the long wait and my initial card being lost in the post melted away as soon as it was plugged in and played. Absolutely amazing compared to my old Maxwell Titan X. Hopefully the supply picks up soon and you all get your cards ASAP.

Urm, I really wouldn’t like OCUK to start cancelling orders. I ordered my card in late September, I was 1100 ish in the queue then, I am now in the 700s for my card.

I am not particularly interested in the 3080ti or the amd cards, I am just happy to wait. Upgrading from a RX 480 that has overheated and is faulty, so the jump from that to the 3080 will do me plenty. I only have a 1920x1080 144hz monitor so anything over the 3080 would be overkill. Heck the 3080 is overkill.

The only thing I wish OC had was a pre-order guarantee like Amazon, if the price goes lower you pay the lower price when your item is shipped. That and a running total on the order page for what the current preorder queue is, so that a prospective customer is well informed before they buy.

Amazon cancelled my 3080 order, so much for "price guarantee".

Original people place an order at "x" price, loads of people order and many of the orders are unable to be filled, price of cards on the open market starts to climb, price of new sales on the site is put up.

Retailer is unable to find cards at the price the original people have paid, they are now in the position of potentially making a loss on each card.

Do they either stall the original orders until they can find cards at this price and give cards to the newer orders who have paid the new going rate or fulfill new orders and feed limited stock to back orders meaning they break even.

Difficult situation for a business to be put in, the launch is a total mess for all retailers, I was going to buy a 3090 but will be waiting for the AMD launch and hoping for a 3080ti at slightly more reasonable money.

I'm pretty sure retailers aren't paying importers/manufacturers more money for the cards.

Ironically due to the port backlog and Brit exit around the corner I can see price hikes for quite a few things including graphics cards

Our telephone and webnote systems are extremely busy and you may experience a long wait. If you wish to cancel your order, please use the following link and we will prioritise the refund of your order; https://forms.gle/KewUKDD7fQMu1div5

Took me less than a minute to fill out and I had my refund the next day.
So thumbs up to OCUK for this, it was a painless process.

Any news of the TUF non OC having more produced and sent to OCUK?
Nope. Come back next year. At least that’s what it looks like. ASUS are just too greedy of a company.

They will keep fulfilling those TUF OC orders. What they don’t realise is the damage they are doing to their brand by doing this. For the sake of £30 in the short term they will lose a lot more in the long term. As long as there are good alternatives I will likely be avoiding them for the foreseeable future personally.

Makes me laugh that they say they are continuing to produce the non oc cards at a similar rate as the oc ones. Also makes me laugh that the rep here disappeared. That rep should never have come in the first place. If you are going to join, you need to stick around when it matters like the gigabyte rep, not disappear and only pop in for a bit of marketing now and then.

You would think with all the extra profits they make from the ASUS tax they would spend a bit more on customer care. Nope.
