*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Cards are popping up now and again on other sites when stock is delivered because they get stock and have no back orders to fulfil so can open them up for general sale. I am sure OC believed that it was the right thing to do to offer people a choice of either gambling on the F5 lottery or waiting in line. For me, I am preferring the wait as I do not have time to continuously scour websites.
OC have been for from perfect, particularly allowing the queues to get so long with such limited supply, but this may have been misjudged and not some great conspiracy to grab our orders, which until fulfilled, is a debit on their account and is not favourable.

For me what is helpful on this forum is when people get their cards and their queue position, the queue position when from when people ordered, when people are cancelling, what is being seen and information provided elsewhere from un-named sources (unfortunate names cannot be had, but understandable), sharing posts from AIBs and distributors and knowledge sharing on manufacturing and world logistics. All good stuff to help understand what is happening.

Not helpful is insulting OC and their staff. As a manager of people I know how I would advise my staff to react to what has been said here and I think OC have been very tolerant letting us all vent on this forum. I am sure OC know the feelings of their customers in the queue by now as it has been expressed very plainly and now need to be left to sort out their internal processes to see where things have gone wrong and learn for the future, which no company will every share publicly and rightly so.

Before the trolls start on me for this post, I do not work for OC and not a moderator, but would like to see the info we have had stay positive that will help others.

Thank you for your time reading this long post.

DM of other sites isn't going to help, stock goes very quickly. Google 3080 stock alert guide and look on the nvidia Reddit, use a combination of the alerts to stand the best chance.

If ordering from Europe you will find many won't ship to the uk, so would need to use a mail forwarding company that also provides a local address

I am a member of the discord channel for rtx 3080 / 3090 stock alerts, there has definitely been various alerts over the past two weeks for Asus tuf cards, so stock has been sent to other stores recently... I am currently 43rd in the queue for a Asus tuf OC rtx 3080.... But still awaiting the latest update email.
Any chance you could extend me an invite for this discord group? I was only recently told about them and am unable to find one. I am currently 24th in line for the Inno3d x3 and with next to no updates for that GPU my patience has ran out.

Hear hear!

There are many that are complaining about lack of info from the OC staff, but if you see the language directed at them you can't blame them for keeping their heads down. It reminds me of a forum for a PC game, that is paid for by the developers of the game - every time the devs popped in to try and diffuse the situation, they were met with abuse from all sides, so they simply stopped visiting their own forum and left it to the mods.

I'm itching to get back to playing games, something I can't really do on my old 980 card at 3440x1440, but I really can't be bothered to go through the bother of watching multiple "watchers" in the vain hope of grabbing something before a thousand other people do. I have a stressful enough life as it is, so why add to that?

For the record, I ordered a 3080 sometime after 3pm on launch day, hoping I'd get the card within a couple of weeks. Am I frustrated that I haven't got my card yet? Sure, but I'm one of those that are just going to "sit it out and wait for the shipping notice" as and when it arrives. If you can't (or won't) wait, go play the chasing game, spend your days watching the internet or waiting for alerts, cancel your order here and release a little bit of the stress in your life.

I will bump this further, people you don’t get anywhere kicking and screaming you find it easier to use the knowledge being given and go with the guidance rather than belittle and berate the people trying to give you the updates.

@Gibbo hasn’t posted any updates, which yeah while frustrating probably means there isn’t any updates to give. OCUK are at the mercy of the distributors, and they can only update us when the distributors update them.

I personally don’t think the service has been bad, how many other retailers have a queue system and pre-orders? I was pleasantly surprised when I found OC were allowing people to purchase in advanced it means I don’t have to go through the stress of the f5 lottery.

If you cancel please let us know your queue position and card so that we all know if it effects our queue and then leave the forum. Bragging about your fantastic purchase from a different country or a competitor will only aggravate the impatient easily annoyed children that seem to litter this forum.

Yesterday on discord they said that Gibbo would be providing an update on ETAs shortly so let hope that’s today and there is some good news to make people happy.

I mean on a selfish note I’m kinda hoping a large amount of MSI Trio’s turn up today :p

Seeing anything in volume would be encouraging. I am 850 on the ASUS TUF non OC queue and would love to start seeing that moving or have an update when it will. I do not buy into the OC cards. They are significantly more expensive and you end up paying about £25 per FPS gain I will be running 1440p so as long as the ray tracing is good (I like my games to look stunning), I am happy with a non OC and AMD is no good as their Ray Tracing appears not to be that great right now.

I saw on the OCUK that they stopped taking pre orders = back orders. It is not a good sign. How much Eagles are worth and is gigabyte vision a good alternative to asus tuf non OC ? Whats the quality likr, can anyone who have vision can comment please.

I know people have quite clearly said this 1000 times already but this level of comms is really really poor. Normally check in 3/4 times a day just to see if there is an update and has been nothing substantial in over a week. Would LOVE to cancel my order and never use OC again. Stuck between a rock and hard place as prices keep going up and the Vision is now atleast 30/40 quid more expensive from other retails which I find unreal!

Nice call from a sales rep at the competitor i placed my second MSI trio order. They dont see them coming into stock in the next 30 days so offered a choice of Gigabyte Eagle, Master or Extreme. Picked the eagle (last one) on basis of price, showing as shipped already.

They also had Palit Gamerock non OC.

Im off this wild ride and anyone above 46ish in the OC Trio queue should bump up.

Been checking this intermittently from afar but have made an account to join the party, how often do you find out your queue position? I ordered on the 15/11/2020 so expecting to get a kick in the teeth but I'd like to know either way.
