*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

The problem with the unofficial queue isn't just that it's extrapolated from known data leaving a lot of unknowns not factored in. But, it's also kinda irrelevant now. Some people swapped cards, many people cancelled. Most importantly though to me is, without info about incoming deliveries it's hard to say whatever being position 500 on one card is better than being position 30 on another card.
I know it’s completely useless now, but at least it gives an answer to a Question nobody else is answering, right or wrong.

I feel like I've been mugged not because it's impossible for me to get my money back. I know that it's easy. But because this is literally the first time in my life I've been treated with such disrespect as a paying customer. I simply can't believe that the only information we have is when some joker who clearly gets paid way too much farts out a poorly-worded forum post update two days too late.

I feel mugged of enjoying the anticipation of what's going to be a great card. Instead replaced with the bitter taste of how not to run a business.
I see, in that case I would immediately cancel and take my money elsewhere if I felt like that.

I am wondering: I am person who pre-ordered tuff. On 30th there was a small delivery of them. Who gets them first: people who orders them online when they arrive or people who preordered them?

This EVGA business is annoying. In 2 weeks we heard nothing about EVGA. And, that was fine I knew those cards were pre-order when I placed the order. All good.
But then 2 weeks after the orders, we see from an email screenshot (not yet denied or confirmed) that suggests they knew all along that EVGA weren't sending anything any time soon.

Why do we have to learn these things from email screenshots?

Completely agree, what I find partially irking is that they acknowledged internally that it would be fair to allow people who ordered EVGA cards can change to another card given the distribution situation. But officially @Gibbo asked us to NOT call and NOT email and just sit tight (and those of use with EVGA orders who listened missed out). I’d ask that you treat us fairly and either revert the orders that did get changed or allow those who ordered EVGA to change.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Does this mean that ocuk won't be sticking them soon, or they just get them from someone else?
Or does that mean that anything that comes from OCuk's customer support people is made up on the spot and they tell you something different depending on who's picking up the phone?
Like the queue jumping that first wasn't possible, then was allowed, then stopped being allowed then it was actually just a few selected users who ordered an EVGA but then users who swapped from ASUS to Palit and were allowed to keep the queue position surfaced?

Or like the amount of pre-orders they have per card model, which changes at each person that calls them?

Or the date in which they will send the official queue position, which is either Tomorrow ®©™, By The End Of The Week ®©™ or Started Sending Them Yesterday ®©™.

So if now what they say about EVGA doesn't match what EVGA claims, who are we supposed to believe? The American company that probably is just focusing on its main market but doesn't want to reveal it to international customers, or the British retailer that can't even keep its act straight when answering customers?

Inconsistent information and made up things are worse than no communication, but don't worry: we will get our answers from the store Tomorrow ®©™.

I got the same vibe with the "poorly worded" posts. Can't even be bothered to type out a sentence properly.

To be fair to him, it's a situation he can't really win, if he posts nothing he gets ragged on. If he posts apologies, he gets ragged on. But I really feel people would appreciate even a single post a day apologising for the situation and simply saying "No updates forthcoming today, we're working on it, please bare with us!".

But no, just the same sense of utter disinterest in the customer beyond taking money. I keep using the word disdain, but it's the overwhelming feeling I get from this.

I just admit to feeling slightly cheated, I’m newish to OC, but have place four decent sized orders with them this year.....and never once have I got Haribo!! I’m beginning to feel they must have spoken to my wife about haribo and my diet!

I see, in that case I would immediately cancel and take my money elsewhere if I felt like that.

I don't have the moral fortitude to stand by my feelings. I'm higher up the queue than if I start over. What can I tell you - duplicity is my forte.

Some people have been waiting months for cancer treatment or other critical medical care. 2 weeks for a GPU.... people need to get some sense of perspective.

I said it once already, but if we were to follow that logic we should never complain about anything, because there's always someone dying or starving or trying to survive a war zone in this world. Just because something is less serious doesn't mean we shouldn't complain when it's not right - these problems are independent from each other, with contexts that are independent from each other and both are unfair. One is more unfair than the other, yes, but that doesn't delegitimate the rest.

Now, the same old question from yesterday:

Did anyone who ordered an Asus TUF OC got any shipping emails yesterday? Or even today?

Nope, though I am apparently around 150-170 in the queue as of a few days ago for the TUF OC, I gave up trying to order during the launch day so put mine through around 00:30 on the 18th. The CS rep said something about weeks as opposed to months but I'm not in much hope. My MSI Gaming Trio ordered on Weds is still being processed and has not been dispatched.

It's arse gravy of the very worst kind, eh.

I'm the same as you. I do not enjoy talking to people on the internet, but in this case I was advised by OC CS to join the forum, only for the forum to be filled seemingly exclusively with people who are either in the same boat as me, or who want to tell me to stop discussing it.

Frankly I don't mind a delay. We're in the middle of a pandemic, chrissakes, and this is a popular product. But I do have a huge problem with a complete stranger taking my money then patting me on the head and telling me not to worry about it. I feel like I've been mugged.
Get a refund then if you feel so violated...
