*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I’ve just deleted a load of off-topic posts relating to COVID. Whilst I appreciate that the pandemic will factor in to the capability of some of the manufacturing facilities, this isn’t the thread to argue about the death rate etc.
But but not getting my gpu is the worst thing to happen ever!!!!!!!!!

position 34 on asus tuf, Not looking good for me when they're probably getting 5 cards every 2-3 weeks :( Not looking good for anyone tbh who have ordered from ocuk, I'm very low and still barely have hope for this year.

Would it not be because you still not paid when first email was sent? Did ya use finance?
Confirmation on 1st, queue position on 2nd Oct.

Not paid - Debit Card, you've to wait approx 3-5 days until - shows as pending transaction, banks checks if the transaction is not fraudulent - it is deducted from your account. It makes online shopping more pleasant and hassle free :P

Don't remember if I used PayPal and debit card attached to it. Probably did for PayPal protection. Not like it's my first purchase from OCUK, but still better safe than sorry.

Presumably no second queue email as others seem to have received for the Asus TUF non OC, means no new stockn in the past 10 days.

It amazes me how either Nvidia didn't have the foresight to see how little capacity they had to supply customers on launch or they did have the foresight but decided to recklessly go ahead anyway for ulterior motives.

It'll bite them in the a*s in the end. Personally I don't care that much about extra features that Ampere offers i.e Ray tracing, RTX Voice and I/O, new features via GFE overlay etc. Most games that I play now doesn't even make use of them. Until they'll be broadly implement into the games (and their engines) Ampere will be obsolete and replaced by Hopper/Navi successor, well at least in my rig. I might miss the RTX voice features it seems to be useful for chat and conferencing.

So I might end up with a GPU based on Big Navi in the end (and that's depends on the raw performance in VK and DX12) bought from retailer that can guarantee delivery within reasonable manner and I truly hope that this time AMD won't screw up, after all RDNA 1st has been announced EOL and the entire TSMC 7nm previously used for it is now intended for production RDNA 2nd gen.

This is pretty much the golden opportunity for AMD to regain market share.

Here's hoping.
I doubt they'll have decent partner cards for launch though, giving Nvidia the wiggle room they need to increase capacity.

I see that some of you refer to first and second email about stock. I only got one email, on 2nd October, with date 29th September. I order by card on the 24th September.
Do you need to sign up somewhere else to get the stock update emails?

No. The first email will be your queue position.

They will then email you if/as/when your queue position changes (because some got cards or cancelled I assume).

For stock updates check the web page https://www.overclockers.co.uk/news...ular-updates-on-deliveries-and-stock-559.html

oh, thanks. So that means that since the 29th September hasn't been any queue changes on the Asus 3080 TUF. Damn.
I got a new system freshly built waiting for the card. Luckily my old one still works more than fine (i7-4770K, 16GB RAM, 980Ti) but my nephew that is meant to inherit it as soon as i got the new one is not going to be happy :D

I mean, speaking as someone who has no idea, it does feel a bit unhelpful to have a great relationship with Nvidia when all cards are shipped by partners and distributors (unless they end up selling the FE, of course).

Agreed, the Nvidia relationship is irrelevant when it comes to ordering from anyone except Nvidia. Good for information perhaps and for appearing on the Nvidia webpages for the 3080 as they do, but you can interpret nothing about the scale of their relationship from the lack of cards arriving at the back door...

It would be amusing to see them appointed as the EU distributor for the FE's though, they do after all cover the whole of Europe within their group (CaseKing), and they probably have more confirmed orders than anyone else in Europe...

Very few models have been sent out since day one,
November is supposed to be better for stock arrivals

I hate to pee on your fire, I was 106 and moved down 7 places at the second email, meaning some of your 15 places were due to cancellations. Same card BTW.

Thats nice movement you've got there, glad you didnt order a gigabyte eagle, 54th on release day 54th now , and the only people with them seem to be concerned about a dodgy power connector and crashing .
