*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Maybe I'm past bargaining and into acceptance. The whole launch mess aside what we have now is a ticket we paid for to get a card at some point. There is no information that can be relied on as far as I can tell (mainly placebo information). The options are stay in the queue and hope or quit and take your money.

We know there will be more stock, just not when
You can wait for your supplier to get some and meet pre-orders
You can chance your arm with the few that get through to direct sales from various suppliers
We also know the 3070 is coming, which may make things better or worse

There is very little certainty and a lot of speculation.

Stay in the queue or get out of the queue I see no value in complaining, other than venting. You might as well complain about the rain.

Hi guys. I'm new here, but reading the posts few weeks ago. I did order an asus tuf non oc version card and I'm in the 1724 position (was last week).
What do you think guys worth to cancel my order because not much movement on this card?

Hopefully ASUS will ship a large quantity soon, as I am 965 in the same queue!

If I was that high I'd probably cancel and look elsewhere if I'm honest.

Some of us never received it (MSI Ventus here). We probably never will, because I suspect that the way they made the queue position script has some odd parameters passed to a sql query that does not return all the legit I rresults.
I gave up on receiving it when I saw that some Ventus were shipped, people received their updated positions, and I did not receive anything. I tried calling and I was told it's impossible that I didn't receive the email, so I was even called a liar by CS.

OCuk has some stellar customer support, really. Perfectly splendid.
Yup gigabyte vision, no queue number yet.
when did you order? I only ordered a week or so ago so I’m not mad, I just saw that they had a shipment of them last week so assumed I’d receive an update soon

I'm still in shock by how terrible this whole experience has been ordered at 14:28 on 17th September for MSI X trio. All I've had from OC is a queue number which was 10 days ago that's bad customer service if you ask me. I'm hopeful about getting card before end of October.

It all boils down to NV in the end terrible launch that they wasn't ready for.

i just cant believe there is so many of us here sitting like school children waiting for the information that we rightly deserve, we put food on there table not the other way around something is seriously wrong in this company, the customer is always right and if the customer wants the information it should be given to them in clear english, Think i will be making a phone call this week to a few places to see what my consumer rights are and where i stand in this whole situation because at no point did i say here you go overclockers you enjoy my cash for a few months whilst i just sit and wait like a good boy.

Then cancel your order and get your money back. You have no consumer rights as far as this particular situation is concerned. You've paid for something that is on pre order/back order.

OCUK are waiting for stock, they don't produce the chips. So either quit whining or take your money else where.

So now the rumours of non-OC cards getting shafted by Asus in favour of the OC variants might be true?

**** it, I'm ordering a Big Navi card from elsewhere when they go up for order. I'll keep both orders and just cancel whichever one fails to arrive first. The downside is that I'd have wasted my money on a G-Sync monitor, but **** it, 100hz is still good...

Would you switch to a competitor if you knew they were getting more stock in more frequently? I know some websites HAVE given out raw numbers so OCUK not doing it makes you pause for thought.

This is almost exactly what i did.

I ordered a Vision from OcUK and due to poor updates and lack of engagemenrt went hunting around competitors sites. Found a Vision and ordered for no other reason than i just didnt know what was going on with OcUK. Reality, next day they shipped 13 Vision (I was 7 in queue) cards that must have turned up out the blue as they didnt say anything publicly about expecting or having them. I am one customer sale they lost due, in simplistic terms, to poor customer engagement. There will be others, but the demands is soooo high I am not sure the company doesn't care about this outcome.

I would suggest you cancel and wait for the RTX3070 and order that on the day of release which might give you an actual card, or at least a better position in the queue, or you wait until the AMD offering is released and see if it's a viable alternative.

TBH seeing how far you are down the queue, I would say cancel for the time being and wait until after the AMD and 3070 launch at the end of the month.
There is a supply shortage worldwide and demand has been stellar for the cards. Nvidia have even given up trying to sell the founders edition on their site and handed them over to a large US superstore to sell (and not selling at all to Europe now)
With the 3070 launch in just under 3 weeks, I cant see the supply chain keeping up.

To be fair if the tech press are to be believed, Dec 20GB version of 3080 will superceed the 3080 10GB anyway. This could freee up stock if people are still queueing as expected.

You have the right to cancel. They aren't refusing that right. It seems to me like they're encouraging it. Read into that what you will ;)

looks like some already have a head start on this. At some point someone in there head office has to take control and start to take this matter seriously
Be carefull. They have the longest pre-order queue in the world...probably :P - Im sure they will have no issue cancelling your order and refunding your cash for you. Then you will be without even a queue number. Something like this has to be done AFTER you have the card in your hands.
