*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

So I got a 3090 elsewhere, but I actually want a 3080 im going to flog (not scalp) the 3090 when I manage to get hold of a 3080.

Though I'm in the pny queue so suspect the 4000 series might be put before I see one :)

Quoted for the truth. Two will likely then go in full builds.
They've got stock available now (or did yesterday) for builds, but none available to buy solo. Pretty gross.

Isn't that one of the shorter queues?

Still, not that different to my queue (Asus TUF non OC), so it's not so bad.

Aye, I'm done with fretting over it.

Mad thing is , I was restricted to certain cards cause of my case size (nzxt h1) but after getting the gigabyte 3090 gaming oc knowing it was likely to big ( its massive long) i actually made a small mod to the case and i can fit anything in there now

Yesterday I managed to find another store that had some RTX 3080 for sale (in stock). I got an MSI Gaming X Trio (instead of the Ventus I ordered here on OCuk), but for the same price of the Ventus on OCuk. Delivered and assembled today, so I've cancelled my pre-order, some of you MSI folk will move one step forward in the queue.
So, my watch is over. It's been a fun month (not), I honestly hope that all y'all get the RTX 3080 card you want very soon.

This forums moderators are ******* me off with the constant deletion of people's posts. A guy by the name of DelBoyJamie just posted a very interesting post and just because it had the name of someone other than OC it was deleted. People are trying to discuss the global stock situation we're not trying to glorify competitors

Oh nice, there're lots of cool mods you can make to those.

Firstly, competitors aren't allowed to be mentioned, this has been a forum wide rule for many many years.

Secondly, there's more to the situation that you won't have access to for privacy reasons.

Thirdly, it could have been written without all the competitors names.

;)

So basically.. a big retailer has discontinued the non OC Asus models and that usually only happens when they are either not being produced or there are no orders/deliveries for them taking place for the forseeable future. No need to name names as such..

It's kinda been the word on the street, for the Strix non oc, but not the tuf non oc. But even so, its not confirmed, just rumors from a guy who knows a guy.. etc.

Edit: but they are still listing them too (no stock ofc), so take it with a grain of salt?

For incidental issues like that, is it not easier to just edit the name out? Like you would with a swear the filter didn't catch? Just trying to keep the content quality up.

Again, as above, more to the story ;)

Also, the opening post clearly states: Anyone breaking this rule in future will receive a minimum 48hr suspension. No exceptions.

We've got better things to do than babysit every post and edit out multiple incidents when they clearly knew what they were doing.

I feel for some of your guys & gals, and as you'll likely have seen, a lot of us mods have gone to bat for you, using up a lot of our spare time to try and help you out where we can, and still are/will but all that we ask is people respect the forum rules that they agreed to when signing up, nothing more :)

Thanks, appreciate the extra context. I didn't have full information (hard to, when the post is fully excised.

Cheers

If Asus discontinued the non OC then that would be beyond obnoxious.
