*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

last week is next week commencing 26th, thats way too soon for improved deliveries :)
I think the smaller batches will improve before MASSIVE loads. Cos right now it pretty much little to nothing. Even small, ok, mean pretty much nothing right now besides 1000s have been sent to “reviewers”. Gibbo has cited improvement to end of October and leading into November.

Problem I think is that they're at the recieving end of an insane amount of orders and consumers probably all asking the same questions. I was sadly in hospital due to an emergency operation I needed and was recovering on the ward when I ordered my card on the 17th, and thought it might arrive before I get home so ordered it to a friends house just in case, then got home 2 weeks later and used a normally quick webnote request to change delivery back to my home address, and it took 3 days to be processed. So they're obviously dealing with insane demand, some forum users going as far to say as they're going to call up every day until they get an update. So I'm sure right now doing CS at the receiving end of all this is a nightmare. I've not personally phoned them but I wouldn't be too surprised if the person on the other end was short with me if I was demanding stock updates and things they do not have information for.

So you'd be happy with the boss sharing his thoughts with us? But hasn't he done that? He's posted numerous times in both the launch thread talking about likely delays even prior to pre-orders opening, that supply would be bad until probably Nov, that people can't expect their cards any time soon. There's constant stock updates in the update thread. He's told us that he basically sympathises with our position, that they're working as hard as they can to get information from partners, and give daily updates on the forums, etc. What is the golden thing that he could say that would turn your point of view from basically "this is awful I'm not coming back here again", to "that's perfectly acceptable I'll just wait it out".

The prebuild stuff, the keeping of money for preorders and much of that other stuff honestly at this stage is just conjecture. They admitted to making a few prebuilds if the ordered were made early in which case those people are in the same queue as the people who ordered cards. As evidenced by the fact that a bunch of people giving 1 star reviews on trust pilot were raging out about their building being 2-3 weeks old and still no news.

I don't think what they've done is enough strictly speaking, and I've been vocal in both directions, being what I believe to be evenly handed with complaints for and against them, for example I was critical of why queue updates came so late and something we both agree on. But I'm fairly emotionally stable in the sense that what matters to me are the facts of the situation, and less so about things like the lack of info. We know it'll be a good few month wait for most of us to get these cards, that f'in sucks and is the primary cause of the rage, I just don't see the other stuff as very important. Like OK we didn't get queue information for about 2-3 weeks, but in the grand picture of having to wait like 3 months does that really matter? Not really, nothing changes at all.

Just for the record I'm just as frustrated about the wait as everyone else, I just have an iron will to remain level headed about all of this. I think people are letting their frustration about the wait temper their view on OCUK and that's kinda unfair IMO. You'd think they're soulless evil people by some of the comments here, they're just people like the rest of us who have to go to work and deal with ****** people and do the best they can. I think they've been seriously charitable about the accusations made here, I'm surprised more people haven't been bounced for some of the speculation about business practices going on.

hope you're on the mend now, ultimately the problem is due to people not having any patience, they are so used to having anything straight away, when something like this happens, well they just can't handle it and out go the toys! :p its a sad indictment of society today, (see it want it now!!!) :)

Good morning,
Does anyone know if production of cards is ramping up or is it going to stay at this pace?

Board assembly is by Foxconn in China who have been rather busy with the colossal demands of the iPhone 12 launch on Friday just gone. GPU production is not the only casualty, the new Xbox is in the same position with pre orders sold out and no ideas when more production will come on stream. Now iPhone is launched we can expect Foxconn to normalise its production runs of other circuit boards.

Love the 1 star review on TrustPilot saying I am absolutely desperate for my 3080 order. No, you would be absolutely desperate for experimental drugs to cure your cancer....this is just a video card lol.

Yes I am still waiting for my 2.13pm order but in no way desperate!

I've not actually seen any non Tuf cards in anyone's hands only the OCs. Perhaps Asus will only be supplying the OCs keep SKU count down. I doubt they would just cancel all preoders for non OC cards and it would probably be in their best interest to supply all those waiting for a non OC card with an OC version.

One of the rare few, but I’ve had a TUF non-oc since 26th September... so they do exist lol :)

I'd imagine there's plenty of 4 and 5 star reviews on the basis OCUK shipped on the day of purchase and chose a semi-competent courier to balance it out. That seems to be most people's benchmark of what makes a good shop even though you would think it would be the minimum you would expect.

I wonder if the reputation hit gets bad enough that OC just decide to sit out future Nvidia launches (the Rainforest UK seemed to). Barely seems worth it. I doubt they make that much off each card. Nvidia are going to keep doing this nonsense until someone pushes back.

What pace? To have a pace things need to move.

People just want some transparency and not radio silence! Someone must know when we're likely to get our cards so just tell us. I don't mind waiting if I know how long I have to wait, it's not being told that is INCREDIBLY frustrating and just plain bad customer service.

it's not easter yet, you're not allowed to exist.
people who are making these cards are the same people who take Cadbury creme eggs away. Evil evil people

So many dislike feedback on trustpilot about OCUK nice job guys you ruined yours reputation :) where the hell is 3080 for us ? This not good you send per week 10 or 15 cards

You almost certainly know, because we've seen it here, that there a great many stupid people who cannot tell the difference between an estimate and a promise. They are given an ETA and believe it to be a cast iron stone cold binding commitment. Best to treat these people as the idiots they are and only give information which is actually going to happen because they can't deal with being let down.

That's why as a company, you should never charge in full for a pre-order when you don't know when your getting stock, all the others don't. Had OCUK not done that, people would not be half as unhappy. Oh, and you also don't claim you get the most supply with the best ties in the industry and then go on to provide the least amount of stock when compared to the competition. It makes you look egotistical and dumb when you can't put your money where your mouth is.

Don't be so quick to generalise, especially when that generalisation only covers a small fraction of people that are unhappy. I'm unhappy for being charged full and there is only a small amount of transparency. I could happily wait till December if I was kept in the loop, treated decently and not like a child "mum can I have some more cake?", "Yes, son, but only a small amount". It's also a sad indictment of society today where people feel the need to defend and white knight a company that's only interested in your money. Who needs PR when rabid fanboys will do the job for you! Let OC sort their own mess out. Companies aren't your friends or a sports team you know...

Well if they have discontinued the non oc tuf card then i shall never buy an asus product again, after having to deal with them over my motherboard frying a cpu and then trying to get a rebate on a previous purchase its three strikes and your out imo, this whole release has been a total shambles but its just getting worse by the day.
Go gigabyte mate, years ago I pulled off the shroud of a pcie slot taking a graphics card out, totally my fault for trying to brute force it out in frustration, Gigabyte repaired or replaced the mobo for free all I had to pay was £15 return shipping. It was still under warranty though but I imagine other companies say well it's your own fault which it was.
