So, before I ordered I was ineligible, but I'm now eligible and my order has yet to be shipped... do I get a refund on my postage? as like... 98 of my posts are in this thread anyway lol
Unless you want it to be refunded and re sold again then no. Would mean you would go to the back of the queue too, so if that's what you want, go ahead :D
 
Received my 3080 finally friday. DPD was at my door by 10:45am

finally got her installed and new block on. Beautiful card and worth the wait.
Upgraded from a GTX980 to the Palit 3080 Gaming OC

What I seen in their post is that there will be a weekly update but it will be based on the cards that were shipped out.

So if not a single card was shipped of the same type card you have ordered this week, or next week, or for amonth, then you will NOT get update this week, next week or for a month.

They said we only get update when your queue number is changed because they shipped some cards of the same type.
Yes you can. I got a second email telling me I'm still in position 3 for the TUF OC. None of these cards went out.

No source whatsoever, zeed just throws mud at the wall hoping something will stick. Gigabyte posted on Monday 5th that the Eagles would be "at least 2 weeks away", implying they may start to arrive the ween commencing 19th, but other than that there is no news. We also don't know how much stock ocuk (or anywhere else) will get.
 
It's an email when position changes or they'd be spamming thousands of people with the same email.

More specifically position change due to shipments, this is what they stated in the original email text.

You are currently in queue position xxx. Please keep checking your emails, we will send an update after each shipment with your new position.

Which we confirmed by looking at the data and working out that shipments of say the Ventus (which I'm personally waiting for) had 50 cards ship, but my position dropped 60 places, indicating that I'd dropped 50 places due to stock and 10 places due to cancellations.

However the 3rd email went out to everyone at the same time, as evidenced by a huge rush of people all posting the update in this thread at exactly the same time, and many of those people reporting their queue position had not changed. Which indicates their tactics for the emails shifted from updates once cards have shipped, to updates weekly even if your position had not changed.

My point is: the characterization that they're keeping info and updates from us is wrong. If you personally lack any email updates, then either that's a problem with your anti spam catching the email OR it's a genuine bug with their system. If it's a bug then that's lame and it's fair for you to be upset, and hopefully if you report it they will fix it. But it's not justification enough to state they're not shipping out queue info because they are for most of us, this has been tracked by the community across 500 users here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nqzTL2tEIl5FLQqZLdTeJ2iLAOBR-yVURCgbsTn5LSU

There's a massive difference between them willingly f'ing people off by denying updates deliberately, and a few people of a big list of thousands not getting an update for some currently unknown reason.

They said that in the original email that went out to pre orders, here's mine

This remained true for emails in week 1 and week 2, however week 3 everyone got an email at the same time. We know this for 2 main reasons:
1) So many people posted their updated emails in this thread that it jumped about 6-7 pages in the span of just a few minutes indicating everyone was emailed at the same time, and those people had a wide range of mixed cards on order.
2) Some people had zero movement between the prior email and the current one.

Both these things when taken together indicate they simply switched to emailing everyone once a week. That kinda makes sense as well, because the queues were getting shorter for most people due to cancellations so even if no stock shipped for your specific card an email to show your new lower position is hopeful.

If you're still lacking an email you're in the minority not the majority and it might be that lack of update is a technical problem, not because OCUK want to torture you for fun.
