*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Most companies have some idea on what's coming into the warehouse each week.

Well Overclockers don’t seem to. Otherwise they would just say that at the start of the week. Would make it easier for them and for everybody else.
No reason not to if this was the case.

It seems to me they only know when an item is coming when the distributer tells them, which is usually a day or two before it arrives at ocuk.

They would do that if he had the information a week in advanced, which they usually don’t.
@Gibbo what we would all like is an idea of what's coming in each week. Maybe a post every Monday of expected stock something like.

Monday no stock due
Tuesday small MSI mix, ok EVGA mix
Wednesday no stock due
Thursday very small Gigabyte
Friday small Asus, very small Zotac

This would be much better than the random posts you currently do.

We would love to do this, but for this launch the manufacturers simply cannot give us this information generally, sometimes they do, like Inno3D which I posted amount and so far 1/3 of that shipment has been collected by our forwarders in Hong Kong and it is on its way to us, the other 2/3 is still being prepared by Inno3D.

I could post every day but I'd be posting to say no update today, if you guys truly want me to be posting updated saying no update then fine but that will just clutter up the thread. I'd rather only post meaningful information about deliveries.

Right now the manufacturers cannot give me anything and they also do not have fixed days when they do update me their updates are random and can come at any time so its not possible on a Monday to post the weekly forecast because the manufacturers are not organised to do that or simply do not know.

It is extremely frustrating for us all.

To be honest didn't think for one minute that OC would take money as soon as the pre order was confirmed. I've shopped with OC for years but never had to pre order. Thats not generally how most shops operate, they charge on the lead up to dispatch. Likewise most other places wouldn't keep taking pre orders for products they have no way of meeting supply for. Its greed. I do sympathise with OC but it stops there. There's reason pre orders should still be open.

OC are NOT giving potential customers the information they need to make an informed choice

My order day 1 said "preorder", I wasn't lied to at all - or promised a date. Other places don't get you cards faster either, you just see the bias of the few who post on reddit.

Maybe you haven't been around for other launches, this might be worse than usual, but it's common practice to paper launch. Plenty of youtubers said exactly that well before the launch. If anyone misinformed you, then it's Nvidia, or you being naive about Nvidias marketing.

At the end of the day, complaining about it isn't going to make the wait any less frustrating.

Could it be handled better? Maybe. Maybe not. If you take Gibbo's post at face value then the information on stock levels and deliveries just isn't there to be shared right now, but will be shared as soon as they have something to share.

I sincerely doubt that this is some conspiracy to frustrate OCUK's customers.

I'm not enjoying the wait any more than anyone else, but you've just got to man up and take it on the chin. Bleating like a goat, throwing around accusations and conspiracy theories just riles everyone up and makes the waiting game feel a little worse for everyone.

If you have a spot in a queue then you at least have something. You can still F5 all day elsewhere and hope you get lucky. If you can't afford to do both and you can't stand the wait then cancel and focus on F5ing. Actions give you agency, angry words just make you angrier.

Anything on EVGA cards from Exertis? Can appreciate that you're trying to get some, just we've heard nothing at all about them since launch and it's probably more frustrating than other card manufacturers who have at least some stock shipped from OC.

Did anyone notice that there was no mention of the using incoming stock for the pre-builds? I don't know about you guys but having paid my hard earned cash for my board I feel that if one of the type I ordered comes in and a single customer is still waiting then the card is his, as he or she has already paid for it, to hold the money and fit the card to a pre-build for a higher mark up and ignore the fact customers who have paid are waiting smacks of illegal behaviour, what say you?

out of interest anybody know anything about cancelling an order that was placed via Financing? What are the consumer rights for cancelling a finance purchase for something that clearly cant be provided? Normally finance purchases can be cancelled within 14 days of it been signed without incuring any fees. Does this change when the product purchased can not be fulfilled?

As someone with an EVGA preorder, some clarity about that manufacturer would be welcomed at least. You haven't mentioned them in your updates so far. I know there are other card models which are also not currently being shipped where again some transparency about the situation would go a long way to helping.

Do you have any idea why Asus deliveries have dried up?

Happy Tuesday to us all!

Not sure buddy. I am sure that there's at least 5 people now ready to type "you shouldn't finance a luxury purchase" though haha

Exertis told us a few weeks ago they had no ETA, they have since being trying to obtain a date but simply cannot and so far have confirmed they have received no stock for their customers and an educated guess from them is they may get some stock in November, but as they have nothing confirmed is why nothing has been posted on the forum. I want to only post solid information and so far Exertis and VIP are saying they have had no 3000 series stock from EVGA and still do not have a confirmed date. That could change at any time of course.

Thanks for your honest reply didn't expect one so fast.

It is extremely frustrating for all of us. Some competitors have posted expected dates for this week when it comes to MSI and EVGA saying stock due 21st-23rd is this something OC is expecting as well?

Also while we have your attention. Last week some MSI 3080 x trio was despatched how come position 12 got his before positions 4 and 5?

I would think that until you receive the product there's an option to cancel the finance. The finance probably doesn't go live until the retailer confirms that the item has been delivered.

Great another update for cards, but still no mention of the Gigabyte Eagle, 2 weeks ago we were told there was a delay and it would come this week. Why are the other cards prioritized? I expect a "dream" delivery of the Eagles soon
