*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

That's what Nvidia want us to do. This is the real conspiracy. They create shortage and reduce prices of last gen to prices of current gen so we take the bullet and buy the last gen which didn't sell well at all. They're not gonna give up easily on that unsold stock. I think this is the real deal. Average Joe doesn't know too much about GPUs to tell the difference. Price is similar so they think it will be almost the same. It won't, due to DLSS new version alone.
It will be 500 or less and second hand, technically a second hand ti after the 3070 launches should be 400

Option 1 - cancel order for asus TUF no OC as clearly asus is not in a hurry to produce these and priority is given to asus OC.
Option 2 - order OC TUF - how long is the queue
Option 3 - order gigabyte vision, the white one. Surely not many people will want white GPU, no?
Option 4 - wait......card will arrive some time next year.

The thing I don't get is the 2080ti prices at retail. Take the MSI Trio for example on OCUK...Still £1290. Who's gonna pay that! You may as well by a 3080 from a scalper.
TBH, if the prices came down by £500, I would probably buy one.

I’ve got an old ATI graphics card in the garage. Might have 1mb ram, but it does have a built in tv card. Going to glue a 3080 sticker on it and give it as an xmas present.

Wrap it up and give it too myself at Christmas. Pretend this never happened.

I have the same plan, I am waiting until 2nd of November, if no news I will look for a 2080ti for 1 week, if still no news I will get a refund and buy a 2080ti before cyberpunk

Or get a navi

Hi Mate, I have just bought a 2080TI OC S/H for £700 inc postage, I shall leave my order here for now and keep an eye on it and make more decisions later, it's just I'm using a 1070 and can only get 90 fps in Alyx so I have got to have something better

I will take out my GTX 1080, still have a box for it and all. I will print RTX 3080 and stick it on the box. I will also buy game key for watch dogs legion, print it out and bundle it together with the card. I will wrap everything and like yourself will gift it to myself on Christmas.

I have GTX 1080, how much more fps would I get over 1080 with 2080TI, 25%, dont know....

What’s the oldest card you still have?
I have a pair of 8600 GTS there somewhere. It was my first attempt at SLI.
A good while ago now.......
back when you could go online, order a gpu and get delivery within a week or so.
My, my, we have come on!

Well I'm out for a second time. I ordered a Gigabyte 3080 Xtreme but when it became apparent that the wait was going to be long I got a refund in the hope of snagging a 3090. However, then saw the 3090 benchmarks and realised I wasn't prepared to spend the extra cash for so little performance so got back on the 3080 bandwagon. I've got other things I'd rather spend the money on. My 2080Ti is still a great card, was wanting the 3080 to maximise performance when my Reverb G2 arrives but I can wait until this mess sorts itself out. I was only 171 in the queue (3rd first time around!) so haven't done many people a favour. Good look to all, I hope you get your cards as quickly as possible.
The Quadro A6000 outperforms the 3090 so why not order one of those when they launch ? Should only cost you around £5000 but then if you want the best GPU and it's available!

Don’t you just love a good, British queue though.
Has to be British, we do the best queues.
Everybody in the same boat, the anticipation. The fear of disappointment.
Beady eyes watch to make sure nobody cuts in.

Last one I remember was 2006, Toys R Us. Nintendo Wii.
I remember this guys next to me was playing everybodys golf on PSP.
Funny how things stay in your memory.

I have an ati 5100 se with 256mb of ram, boom

Depends on the game and what other settings you go for but generally you'll get a lot more than 25%. I've got a 1080 and I'm in the queue here for an Eagle. I'm getting it mainly for playing the new Flight Simulator 2020. Currently I playing at medium to high settings at 1600p and I'm averaging around 30fps. People I'm seeing on Youtube with 2080ti's playing with their settings on ultra in full 4K are averaging 50 to 60 fps. Thats quite a difference.

Like everyone I'm looking forward to playing Cyberpunk but I'm quite happy to wait until I get my new card, whenever that may be. If its anything like Witcher 3 it'll be a buggy mess for the first few months anyway.

Does any one know which product line has the shortest wait time? I'm a non OC tuf person so my line is infinitely long at the moment with there being zero shipments.
I moved from non-OC TUF (ticket 1115) to Gigabyte Vision on Sunday 11th October and got ticket number 70, if that helps you at all
